I think this is a very very cool site. They offer loads of features for a free web host absolutely free of cost. Their server is never expected to be down and is quite fast. There is just a tad bit of problem though. Your application has to be manually verified before it is accepted (that's why I have given it '9'). If only you can pass through this hurdle, this is the best free web host out there. Just give it a try!

This host offers very good space and bandwidth plus some POP3 accounts. Best of all it has no adds. It may take a few attempts to get in but its worth it.

This host seems to be one of those who offers hosting that is almost equal to those hosts that you have to pay for. But the only reason they have the free package is that the objective with this package is to gain new, paying company customers by showing them what they offer through a free package that includes almost as much as the paid packages they have. Therefore, it seems that they are only accepting possible new, paying customers rather than individuals that just want to have a fancy host that offers much more than what they have use for. It might be an idea to try to sign up as an individual that have, are leading or owns an own company, club or such things.

I purchased for 19.99 US$ a domain. Then I applied for a free web hosting plan. The problem is that I'm not able to manage my domain, The home page became a directory full of ads. The CPanel home page never showed up, I sent many emails ask for help and nobody ever answered. A telephone support line doesn't exist.
I have lost 19.99 US$: now I'll have to spend more money to transfer my domain to a serious web hosting company .... and I lost a lot of precious time not being online and not being able to build and test the web site.

I have looked all over the internet to find a free host and hosting plan as good as this. The plans are very good, and yet very easy to afford. The free hosting that they provide is just magnificent. I have never experienced a service such as this one.

1.) everything is positive. VERY Fast, very good help and support.
2.) I would definitely recomend this host.

4.) It has been very reliable, down time is very low, only when updating servers, and that does not take very long.

Yet another one of those incredibly impolite hosts so interested in generating respect for their brand that they simply can't be bothered to reply to those whose applications they reject. As for my site, which they have *presumably* rejected because I haven't heard from them for two weeks, it's a mere innocent family history site. Why reject that?

And they have the audacity to encourage people to vote for them after the application process - before they've even used the service. So hardly surprising their ratings are so high if people fall for that, and hardly surprising is my big fat WORST rating for the most ignorant free web host on the planet.

This is a pretty favorable webhost as far as the free ones go. I have a PHPBB hosted here and it was pretty easy to setup. I do wish they'd mention which type of MySQL they were using. But for future refrence, it's MySQL 4 ;). Fast and reliable.

Well, I'm kinda a dummy when it comes to web design, but after a little fiddling and getting a hold of an FTP program, I have to say I'm enjoying playing around (even though I've only got a few pages so far!) It's a great host to learn to work on, but I'd suggest gaining some knowledge of HTML or having a program to generate it... also learning how to use FTP to upload.

For what I needed it was perfect. Only thing is that it doesn't support asp or coldfusion but considering it's free you would figure that it can't include everything. Other thing is a friend applied for hosting for a relatively similar site and was not given hosting. So I'm not sure how they decide who to host and who not to.

This host sounds great but I wish they ACTUALLY replied to my applications. I applied like 2 weeks ago and haven't got a response and when I went to reapplied it said "ERROR, E-mail already used for registration". If the e-mail was already used for registration doesn't don't mean that I already got the confirmation e-mail (which I haven't). For my opinion the lack of a good support team.

This is an ok host. they do have there downfalls though. They dont accept all sites and you should have it already hosted before you apply. also there is a set time you can apply so any one form other countrys are going to have a hard time applying because you may need to be up in the early hours of the morning. They do however offer a lot of good features for free, so this is a good host that should be looked at.

Their procedure is a bit complicated, but seemingly to make sure people read their TOS first. Also they now have limited signup hours.

#1 Click on "Order Now" under the free plan.

#2 On next page, at bottom is "Web Hosting Plan Policies". Within that is a textlink "here" within the paragraph saying:
"You must read the above Web Hosting plan Policies before applying for an Free Anyxhost WebHosting plan here. By submitting a registration, you are deemed to have read these policies."
Click on that link.

I just tried, and currently that opens another window (if not blocked by popup blockers) that says "Our Free Hosting Department is closed after office hours. (Office hours: 10.00am to 4.00pm Pacific Standard Time)." and gives the amount of time until then. Read other reviews for more info on the next page during their signup hours.

It seems to be a good service, allowing for various coding methods, and above all, it is free. The reason I marked it slightly lower, however, is because I must wait for them to create my account, and it was somewhat difficult to figure out where to go to get the site on their website.

It has so many features (also many that I dont need) and I was accepted very quickly! My site is also very fast and reliable. It stinks that you have to sign up within a certain timeframe, so if you are not in the Pacific time zone you have to be watching the time carefully if you want to sign up.

I love the deal you are geting on this webhost provider. it one of the best i have seen out there. 150 mb of webspace is alot for the average site and with 2 Gb of bandwith you would not run that out unless you are doing somthing you are not meant to do. also with preinstalled script is very nice even though you could use your own.

The features offered are excellent. One needs only look at the list of the features to know that.
However, offering so much does have its bad side. Sending in an application won't ensure a place on their servers, and the support for their features is overwhelmed with the number of people signing up and asking for help.

This web site is very good, has great tools and follows through on their promise about no stupid pop up ads nor any forced ads. Your designs will be the same as you intended them to look after you submit them to the server and there are no limitations as to how many files you can upload. The server size 150mb is sufficient for a begining web site. I suggest though that if you are a business upgrade to a better package and see if ASP will then be available to you.

Most of the features of a normal webhosting package and then some. They let you try out all the cool toys first w/o having to pay from the get go. It's like test driving a new car to see if you want to buy it or not.

There's only one little problem, which is well worth dealing with if you can get in: They don't accept all applications, so you'll have to write a very good reason for wanting to use their free web hosting. This host provides a lot of useful features, I agree, but why is it so difficult to explain people why they are not being accepted? I tried to apply for web hosting, but was refused. I sent them an email requesting the explanation, but they answered with a link to a support ticket not in any way related to me or my problem. I sent them a new email, but the answer was the same, with the same link. They complain that they've got too much applies to review, and do not give applicants any reasons for refuse. Logically, it should mean that there's no reason and Anyxhost admins randomly choose whom to accept.

So far Anyxhost is very good. I have been there for about a week now. The servers are pretty fast, lots of space, and many features. The only problem I have had was that at first they sent me an e-mail that I was accepted for free web hosting, but that was easily forgiven when they sent me an e-mail saying that was a mistake and gave me my account info. This webhost is very good; excellent! I must say that this is one of the very best webhosts I have dealt with! I have had no problems with them at all. The cpanel is one of the best I have seen. As a webmaster, designer and updater I would say that this is the easiest host I have had to deal with! I would definitly recommend this host to anyone who has a non-profit organization or a personal website. I like the fact that they screen those who get the free host. To me that is important as a webmaster I like knowing that I am well taken care of. I have had this website for about one month, and the features are great. I am very happy with anyxhost. Its not a VPS, but it is full featured shared hosting. I have had no support or downtime issues. PHPNuke came in the control panel's script list...and since I am develloping a PHP-NUKe based site, that told me I was on the right track with this company. I am using the account as a development server for a project that will eventually be deployed on an enterprise scale. The free hosting allows me to keep my R&D costs down.

Took a couple of days for my domain to change on their name servers, but after that, GREAT! I was able to get my existing homepage there in minutes using ftp, still checking out all the benefits, but was able to setup email accounts & also found a bunch of old e-mails to my domain. Lets hope this one sticks around, I also plan on upgrading to a paid account in the near future.

A lot of new hosting services rising and giving awesome services ... but the only reason they do that is for testing their servers. After a month, the "free hosting" is closed (and maybe your page too). At least you don't have to post in useless forums hosting, but the request form in javascript goes to ... nobody. Not even an autoresponder. [they show a large list of urls of people free hosted there] Just another trick hosting service.

No complaints. They do pretty much exactly what they say on thier site. Took a while to set up, customer service was a bit slow, but that's to be expected from a free service. The cpanel gives you pretty much full control over your site. Speed seems pretty fast, haven't had any downtime yet. 150 megs of space and a 2Gb bandwidth limit seem pretty good to me, considering they don't put any ads whatsoever on your site. Like I said, I don't have any complaints yet. Check them out.

This host is the best! They are truly quite lenient about the free hosting application, so hurry up and join! I've never experienced one single downtime, so it's very reliable. As free web hosts go Anyxhost is one of the best I've used. They offer a great array of features that are offered on many paid webhosting plans all for free! The features that stand out most to me are as follows: 5 Mysql databases with preinstalled PHPMyAdmin, 150MB of space, PHP support, FTP support and maybe best of all NO Advertisements! For a website to offer all this at no cost is simply exceptional.

All right, so the hosting looks great on the outside, and it probably would have been, too, except I can't use my account. It started like this. After I enterned my domain name during signup, I lost the rights to the domain, though I retained it as a forwarding domain. At any rate, they sent me the email that told me that my cpanel would be located at http://(mydomain).com/cpanel. Obviously, that wouldn't work because the domain wasn't even mine anymore.

So I opened a support ticket using their tech support system, requesting a domain change, and after a while it mysteriously vanished without any reply from the support. So I opened another one, and set priority to "high". I waited a week, and still no response. Today I tried to access it again, and what do you know? It was gone without a reply, like the first one.

It probably would have been a good host, but it's no good if you can't use your account. Having a tech support ticket deleted twice doesn't really help, either. Basically, the hosting is good, but the support STINKS. I would still reccommend them, though, just don't expect too much out of their support.

I applied for an account at anyxhost with the site description of a family site. I have family all over the US and wanted to host a website for my family members to communicate and share pictures etc. It clearly states in their user agreement that "Any site is permissable as long as it obides by their policies" I would think that a family site is permissable so I applied, and was denied after 24 hours with absolutely NO reason as to why. They said in an email that they were "unable" to give me a free account. It's not "Unable", in my opinion, It's unwilling. Surely they're able.... They even went on to say in their denial email that they are unable to answer any direct questions due to high request volume. Talk about avoiding a conflict. I wouldn't recommend these disrespectful, poor customer service people to anyone!

I gave this free web hosting a best ratting because I have been given so much for free. Everything works great and I love the control panel. I submitted an account to them a while back, and it was accepted within a day- great, i thought. However, the cpanel refused to open, and I opened a "support ticket", which is a neat feature that they have for tech support. Then, I had to wait over three days before getting a reply that my problem hadn't been solved yet. And then after that, my support ticket mysteriously vanished, and i couldn't access it. my problem hadn't even been solved.

so i opened up another support ticket and now i'm waiting for their response... this could take a while. i like all parts of their service, especially the fast activation, but the support system has rather got me impatient. oh well. it should be good once i get the cpanel back up running.

my sister had applied to this host for free web hosting and space and had been denied and was unsure as to why. they did not say why they had not accepted her until she left a post stating that they should be more clear and gave them a rating of 1 [was removed by her request]. however, they did send a response email to that explaining that her email address did not match the one listed on a whois search for her domain (we switched internet providers just very recently).

i have also applied with them for a subdomain but as of yet had no response. but i believe that they are a good hosting provider but that they just need to be a little clearer to those they reject as to why. i hope that they will let her reapply when she gets everything fixed!

they sent me an email saying that they could not create a free site for me but refused to say why not. they say that they will create a site for any type of site as long as it is not adult in nature. my site was one that just showed some of my drawings and such...mostly bowling stuff! i had planned on using the free site for a while and if it worked out then upgrading to a paid hosting package. if they are going to advertise a free hosting plan they should make it clear that you won't get one if they don't like what you have to say about the reason for using it, etc.

Unless you have your heart set on using ASP, GO WITH THIS HOST! That is the only thing that the free hosting is lacking. I applied yesterday around 3 pm and got the confirmation email but 1am this morning. Unless something out of the ordinary happens, I'm probably going to stick with this for life!

Yes, really high level of services. They have amazing cpanel with many many options like built wide statistics, ip blocking mode... Although WYSIWYG editor hangs my PC Anyxhost is the best now I think. Definitely I recommend them!

this free webhost is better than the payed webhost i had in germany! it's fast and has a lot of extra features. their website is also well designed. the control panel wonderful.

if these guys keep their promise that this service will last with this quality for many years or for ever (i hope!) i think i found the webhost of my life.

only one thing to criticise: i didn't find any setup help information, for ex. for database, ftp accounts, etc (if you are new to this you must learn about it elsewhere), and their f.a.q. is a bit limited. i spent some time looking for my ftp address and my database name... other webhosts send these information in the confirmation email.

WOW. I spent forever trying to sign up on other free sites or making 50 posts in some other forum for those web hosts that require posting... I was looking at zer0host, but I had some problems with them (signup process takes a long time, difficult to get ahold of the admins, their server was down, etc). So finally I tried Anyxhost, sent off my e-mail explaining what my site is about and maybe 10-20 minutes later I got my reply saying my site was approved. And it's a Sunday too, so I'm Very impressed with this service. I just signed up so I can't say much about the service yet but definitely seems like a great deal.

This is a great hosting company because they even list your site on a page so others may visit you. The best part is the fact that they give you a great deal of space as well as LOTS of scripts to install. The only thing that I can think of that is not so good is the wait to get your site in thier system. But, hey, you should try out thier system. I love it already! What do you have to lose? Money? This site does not accept all sites. I requested web hosting for a computer science research site and I was mentioned in a very ill-defined way "sort of lying" that the information about the site was incorrect or incomplete. I have seen hosted sites that are ridiculuous in their web page and I cannot see their reasons to reject the site (as a danger for abusing their services) - A computer science research site!

Well, I was about to give this site a 10, but the unknown time span from registration to confirmation may be misleading, so therefore I give it a 9. Free registration are only during office hours from 10am to 4pm. But, I am fully confident, when my access is granted to me that the web development part of this process will not be a problem. AnyxHost offers all that you can possibly need to start with. If you require more technology behind your pages, you can always ask administrators and/or webmaster to add it to the server or you can possibly upgrade to a paying service. Other than that, it seems like a good deal, well at least from what I read. I was prompted to make a review [on their site?] before I got a chance to test it out. Doesn't seem fair now, now does it.

This is absolutely the all-time best free server I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Everything I need and more. I got sort of lost on where mysql info was to install a forum, but then I found out that anyxhost will automatically install forums for you. It will install anything you could possibly need without you doing anything. I am in love. Although I am the free host of an about 4 years part and am managing the site, I think that the contents of service which your site offers are wonderful things. I think that a server's response is also perfect. However, I am a Japanese at a regrettable thing. Although the site of a open schedule also becomes a Japanese base, since the "mbstring" function has not been supported, a part of functions cannot be used. However, since other contents of service are really wonderful, they want to carry out long association.

By the way, is the Japanese site of your site prohibition?

Best free host I've used so far. I needed a site with no adverts and Anyxhost were the only people with no ads, ftp and good bandwidth. I'll recommend anyx host to my all my customers in the future.

This is an excellent site. i have ever seen with so much of options in the control panel. I feel that i am on the top of the world. thank you for providing such a nice service. I need a help, i want to know the ftp host name and username from where my visitors can upload their files.
