I have used Atspace for some time and find it reliable and easy to use. My site, a sub-domain of atspace.com, is related to a support forum for WYSIWYG HTML web authoring. That support forum answers user questions on Free Nvu and KompoZer webpage editors. Atspace is recommended to our forum members as a source of free online hosting. The only drawback to Atspace is that it has an unfortunate reputation for spam by hosted accounts. Otherwise is is a perfect freehost.

AtSpace is good, but the filesize limit is too small for IMAGE, SWF (Flash), and AUDIO files. They need to increase from 200 KB to 2 MB as maximum file size limitation.

It is simple and easy to manage your website. There is no advertisement on your free webpages also. Their support is quick and effective. The only problem is your webpages or entire website is sometimes unavailable (it does not have 100% uptime).

There are no forced banners (yet), but below is just a snipit of what they say in their FAQ, which says they may have forced ads at sometime, though their homepage says "NO BANNER ADS":
"Question: I see that you will set small banner links on my website, but I do not know how to include the code?
Answer: Do not worry about the them.  We shall put them automatically, and guarantee that they will not be annoying to your users in any way."

I think that the positive aspects of this free web space hosting provider are things like the file manager, or the name of the domain, and I think too that it is good because of no advertising on your free site. I have only found one negative aspect, and it is that it does not support any FrontPage Extensions. I recommend this free hosting web site to all people who want to have a webpage. It is so easy to do with the file manager. It is fast and has a good support.

Where has Atspace been all my life? I wish I had discovered Atspace a long time ago. It is excellent in all aspects, even the forum help/asistance which is immediate and knowlegable. The webpanel has an easy to use file manager. It has fast upload speeds, and I am limited to dial up! I have been using Atspace for several months now, and have no real complaints. I wish they accepted ASP files, and a few other files, but, hey, you can not have everything in a free hoster, but what you DO have is outstanding. I love the free domain hosting too. I would recommend Atspace to anyone.

Outstanding free webspace find for me! I could not get my site indexed with Google because I was using my free web space provided by my ISP. It was suggested in a webmaster forum that I find another domain host that the google robots would validate as a valid domain server. I just joined, but I know that within a short time, my domain name will be indexed at Google and many other search engines. This server will suit my needs perfectly. And if I choose to study webmaster skills to reach another level of expertise, I can always upgrade to a pay-package that is reasonable. Kudos, AtSpace.com!
