The Spanish free web space site, metropoliglobal.com, was recently put up for sale at Sedo and SitePoint website auctions forum. The owner claims that every day they receive about 100 emails of webmasters asking for free space, and it takes 2-3 hours a day to approve or deny the free websites. It is a very popular Spanish portal, having an Alexa rank less than 4000. The owner claims it runs on 6 dedicated servers and gets about 37 million pageviews/month and almost 2 million uniques per month.

Metropoli Global is very bad. It is not compatible with many things (vBulletin, some php). The free hosting service is very bad in general.
