I do not recommend this freewebhosting site to anyone. I have spent a considerable amount of time to design and upload my webpages to their server. After a couple of days they simply blocked my IP address, and now I see that my webpage has been completely deleted. I am new to web design, and I asked the admins for explanation, but have not got any reply. They simply slight you. Part of the texts on my homepage were not in English. Maybe they do not tolerate other languages.

MyFreeWebhost is nothing new, just another LP powered site designed by a person that made tons of these in the past, which will likely be sold in 2 months to another owner. I would not trust this website in a million years. While it is new, everyone is happy, but the more people come on, the more you hear complaints about slowness and such. It is only a matter of time. More experienced users know this. The new ones never do. They just fall for it.

I can not upload files over 500 kb in size. I get an error message stating the file is too large. It says the file "is bigger than maximum allowed", but does not say what the exact max filesize limit is.

Good site -- it was quite difficult to get started but has fast instant web site activation. The web hosting server is located in the U.S. and has a very good file transfer rate, but please do not be fooled by their claims - the site actually gives 50 MB and NOT 5,000 MB webspace.

I just registered, and tried to get a site going, and ran into a couple of immediate snags:
1. They do not allow .css files to be uploaded.
2. Login is sometimes a bit weird, telling me I need to enable cookies (although of course they are enabled).
3. I seem to have ads being forced onto my web pages! I thought it was "no forced ads".
4. They have a 16MB limit on PHP scripts, which is too low for image processing.
On the good side, the mySQL setup went quickly and well. And they have GD and exif loaded for PHP. Doing a quick Google search shows their server is full of spam scraper sites that redirect to other websites, so seemingly they allow about anything without deleting it.
All in all, the interface looks reasonable (they have the same software look as 110mb.com), but these are obviously new kids on the block, and a bit short of expertise. But maybe that will improve with time!
