The only problem I have with ripway is exceeding bandwith, when it's from other members downloading your music. If there is a way of blocking users from downloading music files, I havent been able to figure it out.

My hosted song file plays periodically, but not consistantly. I don't know if I would recomend it at this point. I only paid $15 for the first 30 days, and as of now, I wish I hadn't. I have only been using it for a few days, but must be doing it correctly if the song on my website plays once in a while. Reliable? Down about 90% of the time I have tried. It is fairly fast when it worked. I couldn't find support for my issue. I wrote an E-Mail to customer service, and we will see. [You probably were just exceeding their low daily bandwidth limit.]

I received the message below from someone at a 3D Virtual World website, which is where I use my website images. I hope you can help me understand what the problem might be.
"I thought you should know that anytime I open one of your mb messages, my ZoneAlarm gives me an alert that it has blocked spyware at h1.ripway.com and blocks the loading of your images. Other people might not be so lucky. So please change whatever you have that links to that site in your sig file, or whatever. Take care."
My friend, another Ripway user, suggested that I ask you about this. He thinks she may have her settings too high, but I should ask you anyway. Thank you.

well the free file sharing part I must say is very good, and storage-wise even the 30mb is more then enough for a good sized file, but then there is the one thing I am really upset with - the fact that when your bandwith runs out, you have to wait 24 hours for it to go back to normal, and I think that is supposed to be for downloading files only, but in my case I put an mp3 player on my myspace page and I have stored music on my ripway account that I use on the standalone mp3 player on myspace. these songs can not be downloaded, only listened to from my web page (streamed), but every time I go to play the song I cannot because ripway keeps locking my account because of over downloading, and I have to wait for the bandwith to go down, but for no reason. I really hope this is a problem that can be fixed in the future, and that would bump your rating to a 9 or 8 (no one gets a 10 in my book), and remember the problem I have is that people are just listening to my music and not downloading it, but ripway sees it as them downloading it (because it uses bandwidth and therefore exceeds your bandwidth limit).

Ripway.com is a FREE hosting server with user-friendly uploading fascilities. No fancy on-line interfaces to learn, just the straightforward stuff you need to get your free site up and running. I was positively impressed with support. I received a prompt and accurate reply when I sent an e-mail with question. I have recommended Ripway to my friends and will continue doing so. Way to go for Ripway!

So far this is the best host that I have found for posting webpages free. It is also useful for other file types, but if you have a free web hosting membership you need to watch your bandwidth.

I found it when I was searching a music box to play in myspace. I love it, and I change my hosted tune whenever I wish. Thank you, Ripway! Great for free music hosting and free music sharing.

I like ripway more than any other free file hosting site out there. I love how there are no popup adds or anything like that. everything is neat and clean. It is easy to upload and host files free, and that is very important. The only thing bad I have to comment on is the low bandwidth allowance: it gets used up quickly for free accounts, but I am happy with the ammount. I give RipWay a 9 out of 10 userrating. Keep up the good work.

Okay, I don't like how these guys disable downloads, but right now they are pretty much the only free webs host I can find that supports php and ftp uploads. Sometimes the free web hosting is awesome, but when you disable the DLs I hate it. Plus we only have 30MB free web space for storing files -- why so low?!
