I put the non-embed code in the footers of my forum to host music files on my Ripway account on another site. The music plays great if you sign into the forum using Internet Explorer but will NOT work if logged in using Firefox or Opera. Most of our members use Firefox, so this is not a good thing (not a problem with the host actually, but just the link code they give you). They should provide HTML codes that are compatible with all major browser types.

I like this web host, but I am sorry to report that there seems to be a bug with "User Account Exceeded Bandwidth" because my stats report that I used 0 bytes. Except for the fact that they are trying to make you upgrade your account, it is great!

Ripway is a great host with few negative feedbacks. They have super-fast support and not to mention that the servers are speedy also. There are, however, a few negative aspects. I do not like the h1 part located in every free user's website name. Also, when you add www. to the link, it does not work properly. I would definitely suggest this free web space host to other people. It is an amazing host with many positive features. The majority of the time the web servers are very quick. There is the occasional times when it is slightly slow. I am not pleased with the limited number of features. I realize that I am a non-paying hosting member, but a few more features would be nice. I believe that they should let us host at least one MySQL database because you usually can not have a successful website without one.

I love everything about ripway except that the videos and music skip when scrolling down my myspace page. It is a inconvenience. I completely stopped using ripway because of this. There is a good variety of music hosted but there are a lot of songs that are not on here or some of the ones that are on here aren't the entire song or the video will not be the original. I do not know; maybe I am still not hip to how this site works, but those are the problems I've encountered in my few months with the service.

Your site is really good, but I do not like the account expiration for not being "active" (not using the account at least once each month).

Far and away the best free home page host I have ever found! I have been using RipWay for a few years. I have used it as a "chalkboard" to learn how to script HTML, to build pieces of a website from the ground up the old-fashioned way. It is a great way to see how things will look when they are "live" online. My free homepage loads quickly, and I have never had a problem with it.

The file hosting works, but there are some technical issues.
1. I had forgotten my login details, so I clicked on the forgotten password link. After entering my email address I received error 500 internal server error - and no email. So I had to sign up again (and lost my files of course).
2. I attempted to use the forum, but upon registration it crashed due to a smtp error, and I was not able to log in, which is probably why there is only about 3 threads in the forum. So if you can fix these issues, I am sure it would be a better freehosting place.

They allow for a very small free bandwidth usage, but they always say I have exceeded my bandwidth usage even though I think there was none. I would not recommend this site unless you do not plan on having much web traffic to your website files. I have used this site for years. No it has not been reliable due to the bandwidth overage causing my webpages and files to be down a lot. The server was always pretty fast, when you could actually use it. The features were easy to use, again, when you could use it.
