I got the following response from "Writers Gallery" after sending some questions from the signup page:

"Our sites are for 'Writers' to display their resume and works in progress or published works. We share a server with JLX Linux Labs that offers sites for developers/designers, programmers and experimenters. Our writers attach their works via email and we place them on their sites to keep uniformity for interested publishers, agents and readers at large."

No answer about the amount of space - it may be limited to just a few pages. The sample site I listed is the same sample site available from their home page so you can get a better idea of the frame, etc.
