This web hoster was actually not bad, so I just signed up today. Then I received an e-mail from them that they will be closing down. Already! This host was very new, and only have been added to free-webhosts.com for a few days!

This freehoster seems to have been a scam. After only 4 days they have cancelled all free hosting accounts, and the xapped.com domain redirects to urlsavings.com (which claims to offer free web hosting to U.S. residents by filling out forms).

This freehoster web site uses the LayeredPanel free hosting software, so the web-based control panel is similar to other recent free web site hosts such as freewebsitespace.net, 9999mb.com, and 1111mb.com (this freewebhost configuration seems a bit more restrictive in some ways though). You get 1 gigabyte of free file storage space, and 10 gigabytes allowed web traffic (data transfer / bandwidth) each month, with instant setup after just an email verification. There are 4 88x31 buttons placed neatly at the bottom of your free web pages (one is for free-webhosts.com  ). The filemanager lets you upload 3 files simultaneously, and you can get FTP settings in the control panel. The web server is very fast (since it is a new site), and supports PHP4. There is a support forum at xappedsupport.com. You can host a domain name free in addition to your given subdomain: username.xapped.com
