ifastnet.com is the best freehosting site I have ever seen. It helped me a lot to develop my flash/php skills, and what is best is that it costs nothing! Keep it that way, admins!

The features and freespace are very good: 300 mb, php and mysql. However the server is often down, and ftp connection is slow, and sometimes fails for no apparent reason. Php errors are also not displayed, which makes solving a problem in your scripts quite time-consuming, as you have to look for the error yourself.

It has been an hour since I signed up, and there is no verification/confirmation email, no helpful startup nice-to-know tips or info...no nothing. I do not know what my URL is. I got into the control panel, Zpanel, but trying to upload anything was difficult to figure out. Some tutorials would be useful.

So far, so good. I just created the base for my website successfully. I am using drupal for this, and for the other freewebhosts I tried until now, I could not get my database working since some permission needed by drupal was missing. Not with this host however... the database could be installed without any problems.

The file upload button in the ZPanel page to upload html files is really hard to find -- it is the green checkmark at the top of the net2ftp form (what poor design and lack of user-friendy interface). There is no help available to explain this crazy uploader! At least it works after you figure it out. Also for some odd reason (seemingly a programming error), the IP adress of localhost is displayed at the top of the file manager page: 127.0.0.1.

My website is vanished. They ELIMINATED it WITHOUT warning! Although it was good for some months, my site is not working anymore. Not reccomended except maybe for very short-term uses, such as PHP script development and testing.

I like this host, particularly because they do not force you to use advertisements on your free sites. Another major advantage is that the Control Panel is very clear. A disadvantage is that it does not show PHP error messages, so when there is a syntax error in your PHP code you have to search for it yourself (I have solved this by using another host to debug the code). Another small disadvantage is that the FTP server is often overloaded.

It does not support Perl, only PHP scripting.
