"My File Hut" is a free file web hosting site on 3 dedicated linux servers. With the free file hosting account you get 250 megabytes of storage and 10 GB/month limit on bandwidth. Hotlinking or direct linking is allowed for auctions, forum posting, and other websites (free MP3 streaming enabled). There is a 50mb file size limit. Upload all your images, documents, music, video, audio, zip, rar, flash files, and more. All file types are accepted. Registration (free) is required, and there is a 30-day inactivity limit. The free file webhosting is powered by a custom version of the Uploader Celeron Dude script (has several unique mods). "MyFileHut tries to maintain a 99% server uptime, but makes no claims of reliability in serving or web hosting."

I have been using MyfileHit for quite sometime, I just do not remember how long, but there are two things I am disatisfied with. One is that every time the hosted song plays at my blog, the commercial has to play every single time. one time is enough. I even set the song to repeat 100 times and now I have to listen to the commercial 100 times, not only me, but my friends also say like that. the commercial needs to play once, and only once, and that is enough. The second thing is that when the server is down, there is no notice or anything. it is like the server just dissapears. when I used MyfileHut for the first time, I thought the hosting server was DEAD, and it would not be up again. At least leave a web page that says the website is down. that is the two things I am disatisfied about.

The service is back after a couple days. GREAT FREE FILE HOSTER. I have been using it for almost a year and never get a real problem with them. Sometimes the website is down, but it always comes back. The only free file hoster site that lasts long.

HORRIBLE! The service has been down for SIX DAYS without so much as a warning or anything of downtime. The website seems to not even exist any longer! All my files are completely DEAD. I have well over 500 images hosted with them - ALL DEAD AND GONE!

Well, I would have given it something good if it had not been for the fact that the server has been down at myfilehut for over 24 hours and all my music has dissappeared from my site, with no explanation and seemingly no one working on the problem. I actually pay for my bandwidth with them, so they should be doing more to make sure these things do not happen, and be informing the public of progress when they do.

Overall it is ok, but when I host mp3 files over on my webpage, the song will not play very smooth all the time. It is very slow to load. I hope you guys can look into this issue.

They were the best file host site I have ever used for hosting streaming files free. they did have a small snafoo latley, but that was due to a web server upgrade, and since they have finished that it has been perfect again as usual!  I do not think I have come across a free file hosting service (that streams, nontheless) quite as amazing as myfilehut!

It used to be the best free filehosting service, but now the errors (folder does not exist, uploaded files appearing as 0kb, etc.) have really hurt this site. Not to mention that the admins on the forum are inactive, leaving the users clueless as to what to do about its many problems. But I will give site a 3 simply because I can still at least access one file I have been using for a while now.

It is quite good since I am hosting virus removal files and even though sometimes it displays "folder does not exist" message, the files are still available for download. I just hope that they can improve on updating their web servers a bit, as they say 12 hours, but it is still not resolved yet after 24 hours.

I am giving myfilehut a 9 rating just because no one is perfect. The problems with the "folder does not exist" is a recent one, and myfilehut is working on it and doing upgrades this week. I have been using this web site for several months and this is the first problem I have encountered. If you are completely impatient and never expect problems to arise, then you will never find a free filehosting website that will satify you. And even though it is saying my folder does not exist, the files linked to my webpage are still being supported and operating properly. Uploading files is quick if you are not on dial-up. I have done it both ways, so your slowness is your dial-up, not myfilehut. You get a lot out of this website for free. you can not beat that. I would recommend this web site to others.
