"The Image Hosting" is a free image hosting solution that can be used to share pictures with friends, post images on message boards and blogs, and direct link images from your personal website or online auction (hot linking allowed free). It generates thumbnails for photos that are larger than 200x200 pixels in resolution. Registration is required to use the service. Limitations: You may upload as many images as you like, as long as each of them is less than 1024 kb (1 MB) in size; File types allowed: .jpg, .jpeg .gif, .png, .swf (Flash files); You are not allowed to hot link fullsize images on any large-scale, non-forum websites; No images will be deleted for inactivity.

Well I'm loving it so far. I dont know if it will be like the others YET. My only problem is that it takes too long to upload...or maybe it's just my computer.

If there is a way to hot link individual images from albums [there is], I haven't found it yet. If the feature isn't there, that's what is missing. Other than that, this is definitely a worthwhile hosting site.

It has been good until now. The support@theimagehosting email address does not work. My auction pictures went down today for no reason. I can see the names in the my pictures category but they don't show up. If this continues, I am going to find another free imagehosting place.

I say it is a good site. it keeps your pictures in albums. I think imageshack needs to do that like this good site here.

This is the best image hosting I have found so far. I would recommend it to everyone. I have used theimagehost for quite a long time unregistered and only once a month or less it was down, for maintinance I guess, but always back up right away. I have had to redo (which by the way is a lot of trouble to go through all your pages of images on your web pages all over again) a lot of images from other hosting that only keep them for like 30 days. This is fast uploading and the BEST!

Works great, and gives you the link code right after uploading it, but if you lose your code, the "get code" function does not work. It just takes you to a page of ads. How do you get the code without having to delete and then upload your image all over again?
[I contacted the owner, and the "get code" function is fixed now.]
