"Files Point" is a simple free file hosting service which allows files up to 250mb per file to be uploaded and hosted for free on their multiple dedicated servers network. Options include ability to send a file to your friends (enter a recipient email address), and add file descriptions. The file download linkcode goes to a webpage with a 5-seconds delaycounter, after which the hosted file can be downloaded. All filetypes (file extensions) are allowed except a few for obvious security reasons: php, asp, htm, html, htaccess, sql, php3. Hosted files remain on the servers forever unless they are not accessed/downloaded for a period of 30 days, or violates their terms of service. Allows unlimited downloads/uploads, and has a live support (chat). The free file web hosting service is powered by SendScript Pro script from sendscript.com.

Good site. the server speed is a little slower than others, and I would prefer a progress bar with info on how much has been uploaded and estimated time of file upload completion.

I tried several times to upload a 200+ MB file (well less than the 500 MB sie limit) and got disconnected each time. The first time it showed "this page cannot be displayed" after a painful 9 hour upload, and the second time the same thing occurred after 3-4 hours. Wasted my time and caused mental anguish, and I'll stay away from this site forever. Not recomended for hosting huge files.

This is the BEST site for uploading files to be downloaded! I have yet to find another web site that is the same as FilesPoint! Keep it up.

It's comfortable. it takes about 10 seconds to download something, not 6 minutes like megaupload, for an example.

I wanted to upload a self-made dbz movie. I waited a whole hour for nothing. why? because this website crashed or whatever it did, but it disconnected and the web page couldn't be displayed anymore. I'll best go to other free hosting sites.
