"Image Waiter" provides free web hosting for images with hotlinking allowed (direct linking). Image files can easily be uploaded without logging in. After a file is uploaded, a number of URL examples are given for placing your image in email, bulletin boards, online auctions such as ebay, or other websites. After you upload an image, you can enter your email address and the links will be mailed to you. Thumbnail images are automatically created for all uploaded images and a URL is also provided to access the thumbnail, along with the original file. This website is for sale. Limitations: File size is limited to 125 KB; Allowed file extensions: gif, jpg, jpeg, png; There is no set bandwidth limit.

not currently accepting images, but referring users to other sites. They were referring to the unreliable ImageSavers - this has now changed to ImageUploading.com. Don't yet know if it's a good recommendation or not, but the fact that ImageWaiters is bothering to do this at all is a step in the right direction.

The site went down for a few days while the admin moved it to a new, dedicated server. They stopped supporting BMP files. The website (and script) is now for sale. It claims to use up to 9 GB a day, but not make any money (has no advertising links, which the buyer can add).

It says that there is "no bandwith limit" but apparently that is misleading since I started using this site and today my pics on the messages boards are not showing because on this site it states "the site owner has exceeded their bandwith limit". I do not like being misled...so I will use another site.

Though it seems weird, lending picture files to an unknown server, and you feel as though you have no control over them whatsoever once you've clicked 'OK', it's super-easy to use. It's also really fast, and you don't have to register [which can be a good or bad thing depending on what how you feel]. I definitely would recommend this host for eBay-ers.
