YouREP ("You Represent") is a Web 2.0 AJAX powered free image hosting place, similar to Flickr, where you can upload, store, share, and organize your photos, or just explore the interesting public photos. It features image folders, photo galleries, picture comments, tag clouds, RSS feeds for photo folders, access-level, notes (mark parts of an image), thumbnails, and more functions like rotating images. You can choose to make your images public, or that you only want to show them to designated members of YouREP, or you just want to keep them private for yourself. In order to use the free image upload service, you must register first (has instant account activation). The main photo uploader will let you upload up to 30 image files at once, and there is no maximum image size, although there will be a 1GB storage limit for the free image host accounts. The batch upload (aka ZIP-function) form allows users to upload a zip file containing up to 60 images and having a file size of 50MB or less, and then the web server will extract the zip file and process every image as if uploaded one-by-one. The free imagehosting accounts may be removed after 60 days of inactivity, and they do not allow "adult" content.

YouREP is gone! The website is dead. I have tried to access the website for days, and I just cannot get through anymore! What about my photos?! I do not think I can trust another beta site again!

Again, I wanted to comment on the approach of site admins. They are quick and very positive in their responses. In no time they respond to your queries. They also look forward to solve our issues at the earliest. The issues of copyright and some other small limitations have been noticed by them, and they have started working on it. Hopefully they will be successful in a week in doing it.

It is a wonderful free image hosting site. You have 2 GB of storage space, flexibility of creating, arranging and rearranging the image galleries, utility of evaluating, commenting and appreciating the photographs. From the usability point of view, YouREP stands a couple of feet ahead of other free image hosting sites. Also, the options to tag and geotag the images make it unique. Of course it is a very beautiful site, maintained well. The Batch uploader (zip and upload) is a wonderful option.
Still it has a lot of limitations. Let me point out some.
1. Your rights are not protected. Reason: the images you upload can be viewed by anyone (if you choose to make it public) in the original size. Also it allows the download of the pic.
2. It lacks professionalism: As any other image hosting site, YouREP lacks professionalism when it comes to appreciating pics. This is due to the slow growth of network. Having an alliance with professionals and involving them in the processes would solve it.
But, I still prefer to use YouREP. I am not bothered if anyone uses my photographs or not, but the majority of graphics professionals are bothered about their rights, and it is a point to look at.

The best free image hosting services on the Web! you get 2gb image storage space free, and you can earn some money. It has had no downtime in the 2 months I have been with them. they are fast, and have many ways to organize, tag, and map-place your pics! try it!
