I guess they gave up -- their domain name is parked now. It seems many of the LayeredPanel free web space hosts are not very reliable hosters, especially if they rely on so-called webhosting "upgrades" to paid affiliate links such as Hostgator to pay for their freehosting servers.

Good, but file extensions are limited, and certain file types such as zip, rar, and pdf are not allowed to be uploaded.

It took me years to find a place like this! The "Home Block" homepage promises "No banners - now downtime - no joke." You get 1 GB webspace and 7 gigs of data transfer monthly allowed. They seem pretty new though, as the FAQ link does not work and there are very few forum posts in their message board yet.
