Signup was very easy, with details sent automatically to my email address. My Robotix website statistics have nice pie charts of web space and bandwidth limits with amounts used. You are given a free URL like http://free.myrobotix.com/you/ (but which redirects to the form: http://www.myrobotix.com/webhost/you/ ), but you click a button to easily request a free subdomain (it says it takes up to 48 hours to get a reply, so still waiting for mine) . The file manager page displayed several PHP errors, such as include files not found. However the simple interface works okay, and the server was fast. You can only upload one file at a time. There are no ads displayed on my hosted web pages yet (soon to have ads at bottom of hosted webpages though, probably Google ads). The admin claimed PHP worked, but my phpinfo.php file was renamed phpinfo.php.off, with the "rename" function removed for that file. Oddly the page still parsed php, which showed to be running version 4.4.2. Probably not real useful if the PHP pages are renamed with strange file extension though. SSI worked fine. There was a file in the web space called "error_log", but it gives error 403 to view it. You can edit HTML files, but not the other filetypes I uploaded. The default is a nice WYSIWYG web page editor, but clicking the "HTML" box allows you to edit HTML code also. The home page says this is a "Limited Time Offer" -- not clear if it is free hosting in general, or just the specs: "100Mb of space and 1Gb of Bandwidth" (seemingly the latter, as there are no paid hosting plans/packages listed). The TOS says "You must show our ads on your pages. You may not display any ad on your site that is not put there by Robotix Host." Overall a fairly good free hosting service for learning webmasters so far, but they have a few bugs to work out.

Comment below was added later that day:

The admin said he fixed the errors in the file manager and will be upgrading it soon, and Robotix Host no longer offers PHP, as it is seen as a security risk, although support may be a possibility in the future. He found the error that allowed PHP files to be displayed and has fixed it. The uploaded PHP file now just says "PHP files are not allowed on free hosting accounts." They are still working out a few bugs such as the ad placement on the user pages (this is done manually right now) and a few other small items. There is a Google 468x60 banner at the bottom of my web page now (not centered, though I am sure I could edit the HTML to fix it).
