They seem to be going through some major management issues. I had a site there and a forum somewhere else, and any images from the site that I wanted on my forum would get a 403 forbidden error. Their settings for permissions seems to not be working. Also, in their own tech support forum, there's a lot of people that either left or are leaving. My recommendation: Do not use them until you really check them out for about a month. Keep tabs on their forum and see if there's any improvements. Somehow, I feel that they will not last too much longer at the rate they are going at now.

It was like good in the first opening time, but now it is really slow and the server is down some every day. I can not edit my files anymore.

I like this host. They offer 20 GB space and 300 GB bandwidth. On their support forum they have a shop where you can "buy" things by exchanging "coins" that you get from forum posting. With 250 "coins" you can get a custom 404 page and not the default error page leading to newsit.es homepage.

This is a great webhosting site, but does not allow the public to upload files from your free web site. I had a free file uploading site (only .txt files) and they took it down. Puzzled, I made a new site and posted it on their forums. I asked why, and they said that uploading is not allowed. PHP is SO slow for Newsit.es, like really slow. The other features are okay. Also, at the forums, if you have 1200 points (you get 1 point for each post, and 2 for a forum thread) you can "buy" a free .Info domain name! .com and .net domains are also available but cost 5000 points.

They offer much disk space and great bandwidth, but one problem I have been experienced is very poor ftp transferring.

Like another user stated, the first week or so with this host went very well. I uploaded my site, installed a forum and had everything working perfectly. But after a little while it started to get worse. Right now, after about a month of hosting with these guys, my site is loading slowly for the most part of the day, and there is a downtime once in a while. Regularly while I am browsing the sites I either get timeouts or a simple html page will take a long time to load. They do have a nice forum and community, the staff seem ok, and by posting in the forum you can earn upgrades for your site. I am currently looking for a new host but hopefully they will improve sometime in the future.

The FTP upload is terrible, as it only allows a maximum 50 FTP users at once, so is often too full to get a connection.

The quota has now been upgraded to a max of 100 users at a time. FTP connected very fast for me when I tested it.

The editing window is very small, and half of the tools are cut off so I can not see them, even though there is a lot of empty white space on the web page that could have been used. I click on the "view source" button to edit via html and sometimes it does not load, and other times it does save what I do. Very frustrating. Only recommended if you edit offline and upload via FTP client or file manager.

It seemed good at first, with nice features such as 20GB space, PHP5 (5.1.6), and whatnot. But that server is SLOW! Sometimes the ACP (Administration Control Panel) takes minutes to load, and it is not my internet connection because I have DSL and other websites load fast. Another thing: you must post like a ton of posts in their forums or pay to get RegisterGlobals support (On and Off?) when that can be done with an extremely simple piece of PHP code, but using it gets you banned (they banned me!).
