They seem to be going through some major management issues. I had a site there and a forum somewhere else, and any images from the site that I wanted on my forum would get a 403 forbidden error. Their settings for permissions seems to not be working. Also, in their own tech support forum, there's a lot of people that either left or are leaving. My recommendation: Do not use them until you really check them out for about a month. Keep tabs on their forum and see if there's any improvements. Somehow, I feel that they will not last too much longer at the rate they are going at now.

I like this host. They offer 20 GB space and 300 GB bandwidth. On their support forum they have a shop where you can "buy" things by exchanging "coins" that you get from forum posting. With 250 "coins" you can get a custom 404 page and not the default error page leading to newsit.es homepage.

This is a great webhosting site, but does not allow the public to upload files from your free web site. I had a free file uploading site (only .txt files) and they took it down. Puzzled, I made a new site and posted it on their forums. I asked why, and they said that uploading is not allowed. PHP is SO slow for Newsit.es, like really slow. The other features are okay. Also, at the forums, if you have 1200 points (you get 1 point for each post, and 2 for a forum thread) you can "buy" a free .Info domain name! .com and .net domains are also available but cost 5000 points.

Like another user stated, the first week or so with this host went very well. I uploaded my site, installed a forum and had everything working perfectly. But after a little while it started to get worse. Right now, after about a month of hosting with these guys, my site is loading slowly for the most part of the day, and there is a downtime once in a while. Regularly while I am browsing the sites I either get timeouts or a simple html page will take a long time to load. They do have a nice forum and community, the staff seem ok, and by posting in the forum you can earn upgrades for your site. I am currently looking for a new host but hopefully they will improve sometime in the future.

The FTP upload is terrible, as it only allows a maximum 50 FTP users at once, so is often too full to get a connection.

The editing window is very small, and half of the tools are cut off so I can not see them, even though there is a lot of empty white space on the web page that could have been used. I click on the "view source" button to edit via html and sometimes it does not load, and other times it does save what I do. Very frustrating. Only recommended if you edit offline and upload via FTP client or file manager.

It seemed good at first, with nice features such as 20GB space, PHP5 (5.1.6), and whatnot. But that server is SLOW! Sometimes the ACP (Administration Control Panel) takes minutes to load, and it is not my internet connection because I have DSL and other websites load fast. Another thing: you must post like a ton of posts in their forums or pay to get RegisterGlobals support (On and Off?) when that can be done with an extremely simple piece of PHP code, but using it gets you banned (they banned me!).

Although you can upload your free web site files by the file manager uploader, the FTP upload is very poor, and only allows a maximum 50 FTP users at a time (it is almost always full). The connection breaks every 10-20 files uploaded, and then you have to wait for a long time to be able to log in again, upload another 10 files, and wait again. If you need to upload more than 100 files, forget about this web server, and look for another one. It is very nice that they offer 20 GB space, but they do it because they know that you will never be able to upload even 100 MB.

The first week or so with this host was fine! Since then, my service has gone downhill. The webpage loading speed of my website has been dramatically reduced. The MySQL database is slow. This web host has all the makings of a good web host if their service was only more reliable and fast! The bandwidth and disk space allocations are excellent for a free host (for which they must be congratulated), and they offer many features that are rarely found without paid web hosting. It is great free web hosting with no ads, other than the slow server speed.

I initially liked newsit.es, which gave me lots of bandwidth and filespace free, but recently they removed my website with no explanation given. One day it just was not there, and the account was removed. As far as I can tell it did not violate their TOS. It was just a fan site for a singer. It is hard to fix the problem if they will not tell you what it is. Perhaps it was banned for using copyrighted pictures or lyrics, or being inactive too long, or not getting enough web traffic.

The best free site I ever used (for my only 7 days in web admin role, and only 3 days with this site). This is the only 1 free host site I know that guarantee their host uptime. I will keep updating for this site quality in the next few months. I hope they will keep their site at this quality level for many years.

There is some contradicting info on this host. They are bannerless now, and I was all set to sign up with them till I found the part in their rules and regulations that stated that they can force banners, so no thanks. Also, it is difficult to find any info on their site as to whether or not they permit commercial sites if one wanted to run an e-commerce site.

I had tried several free hosting companies, but after a day or two I voluntarily deleted my accounts, but not after I found this hosting company. I really decided to host my site with them, not just for the ample free space (20 GB) and bandwidth (300 GB) it provides, but for ease of use and fast service (loading of hosted site web pages). This is definitely the best free hosting company available so far.

I mean do you no anywhere else that you can get 30 gb space and 300 gb of bandwdith for nothing? and their instant free website service with no banners and no ads at all is amazing. This web hosting rocks! They give you tons of online disk space free and huge bandwidth. Since I been with them there has been no downtime yet. I recently bought a domain name, and it was very easy to get it working here. They are truly the best free web hosting services out there. I do not know how they do it, but it rocks.

I was surprised when I signed up that everything went so smoothly. Not even my paid hosting accounts went as smoothly with the sign up as newsit.es. Their technical support is amazing and prompt. Configuring the FTP was a snap, and before I knew it, I could publish my site (not two days later, but right there, immediately!) The only drawback I have found is that certain common script support and media types require certain features that do not come enabled automatically, like php sendmail, which is useful for a standard "contact me" form, etc. To enable some of these features, you can upgrade or join the FORUMS and earn these features with a points system (for forum posting). It is very little to ask given the provided services and products (and their customer service is EXCELLENT). I rated it a 9 instead of a 10, only because certain "common" features are disabled in the freehosting accounts by default, and these as in my personal case are necessary for me to move my site from my previous host. However, it is worth me moving my site from a previous host, so that must say something good.

Seriously this is the best webhost I have ever seen. Today I have looked through about 10 free hosts, and this one is by far the best. Come on; have you ever seen 20gb diskspace and 300gb bandwidth offered before by a FREE host? Even some pay hosts offers less advantages. Newsit.es are one of the best webhosting sites on the web. The newsites are great because they have NO ads or popups forced, and we have a lot of free webspace room to store files. They give large bandwidth quota and they have a support forum for helping the beginner in making a website free. I recommend to be hosted by newsit.es. The web site panel has an automatic installer for scripts (like cutenews and phpbb). Their webserver has rarely been down since I began using them. The support are very great.

Although the domain name is .es (Spain), it is not a Spanish page. It is very good webhosting, the registering is easy and fast, and you have the free site space immediately. The FTP server is a little slow. I did not test their scripts, but I saw there was a forum script auto-installer (phpBB2). I recommend this free hosting server for everyone.

Newsit.es is the best place for free homepage hosting. In summary, the allowed filespace and bandwidth limits are great. Most scripts work correctly; there is one problem with sending mail from your forum or portal hosted here, but it is completely resolvable via support forum.

Great! It is much better than other free hostings. It is very fast and provides a lot of web space! fsockets can be opened if you reach 50 posts on their forum. The only disadvantage is it has PHP Safe Mode: On.

This is the most coolest and one of the best free website hosting providers ever. The bad thing about this freehost is that it uses LayeredPanel (cPanel is better), but who cares. It has a a lot more than what I wanted. It has 20 GB space and a whopping 300 GB bandwidth for your free web space with NO ADS! Wow! I just hope that this host will keep running. I do not want such a host to go down. So far it is great.

At this rate I can tell that this is best free layered panel webhosting ever now. They do not force ads, and they can live by Google ads from their main site. They do not restrict any content -- you can make any content for your website, including anime sites, as long as you stay legal. The file types allowed are very much and reasonable. Some filetypes that are disabled I also agree from security reason, such as htacess, and also the server configuration has PHP safe mode on. They have community forums that you can find out your answers to questions and problems, and staffs are reasonable. I like it.

Good instant free hosting service, with 20 GB web space and 30 GB data transfer limit -- I had my free home page uploaded within a minute of registering. You can have 5 My SQL databases and users. My uploaded phpinfo test file reports it to be running PHP5 - version 5.1.6. There are no ads or banners of any kind, at least yet. The new hosting server is very fast, scoring well on the PHP benchmark test script. It has LayeredPanel web-based control panel (basically the same as other free hosts using it). The file manager allows you to upload up to 3 files at once. They claim there is no account expiration limit, so your free web site will not be removed for inactivity, as most freehosting providers do. The max filesize limit is 10 Megs, which is larger than most freehosters allow. The AwStats advanced web site statistics are nice. It also supports add-on domain names so you can host multiple domains easily (if you have them already). I had no problems whatsoever. I just hope it remains reliable -- time will tell.
