Xoom.com was previously one of the largest and most popular free web hosting / free webspace hosts... BUT that was a LONG time ago. Xoom.com CLOSED its free hosting service in July 2001. Amazingly (and sadly), over three years later, it still ranks extremely high for many search engine terms such as "free web hosting", even though NO such terms appear on its home page, and it offers nothing related to webhosting anymore. Seemingly there are a lot of websites ("directories"?; not this one) that never update their links. This free hosting review was added to the news archive of deleted/defunct free hosts for those searching for its signup page -- there is none.
