At first, I was impressed with this service with a generous 1MB file size and allowing how long the file should be hosted. This all changed when their server went down in March and I had to reupload everything that I had posted on a forum about a certain reality TV show. Then, later on, I was banned, when I had done nothing wrong. Now, their server is offline again and messed up all my images that I worked hard to fix after the last outage. Between the unwarranted banning and the techical problems, this service has left a sour taste in my mouth. 2and2.net is much better. Avoid bighosting.net and it's sister site filehosting.org if at all possible.

they've been down for like a week, & i have ugly BigHosting banners all over the place now. "Uploading temporarily closed".

I love this. The amount of allowable uploads is the best I've seen. The only thing I don't like is that it asks how long you want it to stay. It scares me because it might not always be up.

I can't give this free file host website anything higher than that for the reason that you have to put in the captcha code, and I always get it wrong [it is case-sensitive].

First impressions: After listing an ebay auction with "self-hosted" photos, I realized I had invited hackers to try to gain access to my personal website. I found BigHosting through the "free-webhosts.com" link, and gave BigHosting.net a try. I was impressed with the upload speed, security mechanism, and general ease of use - along with anonymity, of course. It's too early to tell whether these files will be hosted without difficulty for the entire auction, but so far, I'm impressed.

The only problem I had was a few times it told me I put in the wrong security code when in fact I typed the letters that it had given me. It did straigten out after a couple of tries though. It seems to be fast and so far, no other problems.

ANNOYING Captcha. when I want to quickly upload an avatar it won't be here. That and it renames one's file to something seemingly random. On the upside one may specify a hosting expiry time, and it supports AVI and MPG filetype formats.

Good enough for what I need it for. Any DCF (Dell Community forums) users should use this for image hosting!

There is no real navigation, just an uploader and there is no way for the user to delete their own uploaded files. Also, it stores by IP address and for those that their IP changes they probably store their pictures in a different place every time. Complicated. As a design, is very pleasing to the eye. I think they should add a username and pwd way to log in and find your files plus a delete function.
