Insel Pix is a free picture hosting website which allows unregistered users to upload photos and images, hosted with unlimited bandwidth. It lets you upload and hotlink images up to 5mb (5000 KB), which is fairly large filesize limit compared to most free image hosting services that allow hotlinking full-size images. The free imagehosting web site provides unlimited storage space to upload your pics, and supports uploading these image fle extensions: .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp. You can hot-link your hosted photos on blogs, forums, ebay auctions, and other web sites.

My account vanished also (see review below), and when I went to their website, I did not even see a link for logins. They just totally changed their service on their users. You can still upload imaged without signing up, but some of the previous features are gone now, such as the private and public photo galleries. The filesize limit is no longer posted on their site, so I am not sure what that is now. Some of the previously hosted pictures have been deleted and now redirect to their homepage.

I uploaded some pics, but now my account is gone. I sent an email to their contact and got no reply. Their web hosting server is having some serious problems. Often it gets error 500 (Internal Server Error), though you can keep refreshing the page if you are desparate, and seemingly many of the previously hosted pictures are deleted. Bad service.

This site is very good. The fast uploading speeds and the fact that it has unmetered bandwidth blows every other free host off the pages.

In my experience, Inselpix has many irritating errors that occur while getting to the main gallery page, as well as uploading files itself. It is pretty unstable in my opinion, but is nice when it works.

Their own web hosting account (from jetsetweb.com) has been suspended. It was good when it was working, but it is down now (hopefully only temporarily).

It is new, and its links are not even linked to the right pages yet, but overall it is fantastic, except you can not upload more than one file at a time, and you can not overwrite an old file. Incredibly speedy server.
