these guys hosted my site for six months. during that time they were down so often. email was bounced and vanished.
i paid for my hosting and they said they make backups, but they didn't, and told me "too bad" when they lost my site completely. they took a year's hosting fee for less than six months. and they disappear often. if they ever come back AVOID THEM LIKE The plague! I am now hosted by 50webs.com and loving it.

I think they are out of business. I hosted with them, and my website AND frandt.com has been down for four days. Stay away even if they do come back.

Stay away from FRandT! FRandT fails to deliver! All the garbage on their Web is just that, "GARBAGE". WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GET. Remember anyone can create a delusion on the World Wide Web, and in this case this statement is applicable! Go to GOOGLE and see what this guy has posted about Bill Gates, funny thing! how may one contact FRandT via telephone when FRandT phone/landline numbers have been out of service for several months!

Signed up for free service. Signup process did not work. Being a slow learner, I signed up for the paid service. Credit card was charged, signup process did not work, all contact phone numbers had been discontinued, emails required that you respond to a return email, which required that you respond to another return email, which required....

Under no circumstances would I recommend this provider. Avoid them.

I used them for about a year, I think. They provided everything they promised, from the mysql databases to php and python. I did have some reliability problems (*lots* of downtime). They insisted it was my DNS server, but I changed hosts and that problem went away. After about a year, I tried to log in one day to find my account canceled and everything wiped out. I was so fed up with them by this time that I switched to a paid host. (If their customer support had been a little more cooperative, I'd have stuck with them. I was compiling a report about all their downtime when my site disappeared).

5 days since I "finally" figured out how to send an email to their so-called "support" without it coming back as undeliverable, and still no response. Still can not access my site (DNS problem), though I "can" access via ftp. Attempting the DNS server # as opposed to URL will still not open my page (goes to file directory). Their web page is a nightmare to navigate, many links time out or go nowhere, and since I PAID them for this "service", I'd think that they could at least respond. IMHO, this service is one of the worst I have come across.

I am very unlucky to be the paid user of frandt. About two years ago, their services were very very fine and smooth like anything, so I decided to buy their premium package. I PAID THEM HEAVILY and ordered a custom package with unlimited FTPs, unlimited subdomains, unlimited emails, unlimited bandwidth and unlimited forwarders. In the first week of making the payment, frandt DISAPPEARED from the net for about two years. they never even replied to any email. Now, when they are back, i asked them for refund but they CLEARLY DENIED. They insisted to take their web hosting again for the money. The incident was happened six months ago, but my hosting has not been activated till date nor they have refunded my money.

1. Site is down much more than it is up.
2. Finally was able to connect via ftp, but still can't connect to my site.
3. Their web site is almost as bad as their service, most links time out, links in their "control panel" lead nowhere.
4. All in all a total waste of time.

well sign-up wasn't too bad, but I can't get to my web page. they must have messed the subdomain name up. I can ftp with no problem. Did take almost a week to get the notification that I was accepted. I have emailed them like 20 times, and to this day...no response. So until they straighthen the subdomain thing out, guess I won't ever know how well their servers are =(

The only problem I had with them was that the account email asking for payment (I didn't think the payment of 0.00 would hurt my credit card) had a bad return link, so I never could start using the service. I didn't find the signup confusing, just found I couldn't do it.

Update on my previous negative comments (many of which still apply). I was finally able to connect through ftp (and through their control panel) and upload files. Files have to be uploaded to the www folder (which I found out via the "welcome message" when connecting via ftp as I couldn't get the FAQ "getting stated" page to open). I received 2 more "requests for payment" emails ($0.00 due) today, though everything seems to be set up and working fine. I'll reserve final judgement until I get the rest of my files uploaded and see how things work and can check the stability of the server. I did upload one of my lake applets using David Griffith's java applet (lake.class) & it executes and runs very well.

As mentioned by others, very complicated sign up process, even after following the instructions and selecting "pay by check", I still received numerous bills for $1.00. I assumed I had done something wrong, so I switched to pay by credit card, paid the $1.00 charge, and then received another bill for "$0.00" amount due. (and my CC was charged). Finally received an "Account setup successfully" notification, but after 2 days still can not connect via ftp using both named servers or the ip number provided.

Well, it seems like a good deal, so why did I rate it as the WORST. Quite simply because the signup process is a farse. A complete and utter disaster of misinformation. Don't waste your time with this info-jumble of a host.

Positive Features: CPanel, Email, MySQL, PostregSQL databases, Includes many free scripts including forum scripts, shopping cart scripts etc. free website statistics, custom error pages,.htaccess support, sub-domains, domain hosting etc.

Negative features: Signup is slightly confusing, took a while to activate my account.

I have used this host before and it has proven reliable in the past, and although it has had its problems (like every webhost), I would say the best I have used so far. The server is very fast which is always a good thing, this is the main reason I switched from my old host because FRandT's servers are so much faster. Overall I would say this webhost is very good, but could improve in some areas (especially the signup process).

My site is up but I cannot use it until they credit me with one dollar as I opted for the free monthly service and they are trying to pay me :) When I try to connect to payment system it times out.

absolutley terrible host. When you do what they tell you to do to get a free host, they just send you an email asking for payment to their address. I DONT THINK SO!

The WORST free hosting service i have ever tried. Unstable, the singup process is confusing and they even require a credit card number for a "FREE" service! I'm sure there are hidden fees.

It all seems nice at first, until you start surfing round the site and the pages won't load! I tried to access the web-hosting page - full of HTML. Tried to sign up for a free package - none existant???? I don't understand it.

After searching around their confusing site for 45 minutes, I FINALLY find their "free" plan, only to find out that it's actually their $1 plan, with a -$1 promotion, which STILL requires a credit card. Nothing free about this site.

"If they READ that information they have to go through, that you dirrectly link them to, all they have to do is select "Check Payment" and there is no credit card to be entered.

Also, to the latest mathematitions, $1.00 MINUS $1.00 EQUALS $0.00. How can that not be free? do they expect us to OWE them money?

Also, for the confusion of our site, we do not make our free hosting plans obvious to standard browsers of our site, this is more or less saying, "Oh take a look at our paid plans, but we have FREE ones that is just about as good here"; This is obvously not a wise move, so we make the free trials visable to those whom want to buy, naturally, however require a trial to test drive these services. We do allow people that come from your site and some other sites around the globe to directly sign up through that link. This is a privilage to these people, however they need to understand if they READ the instructions, they will find their way to a free web hosting account extremely painlessly. The text is not too much except if they actually click to read the legal clauses."

I have bought a domainname and hosting package through them on 24 May 2005. I am an amateur in the field, so wasn't too sure on how everything goes and so when I found out that I could still buy the domain I contacted them and they told me this was normal for 24-48 hours after purchase. However, It is now 8 June, I have sent several emails and tried to ring them, but somehow do not get through to them! A probable reason for the phonecalls is the time-difference between Australia (where I am staying at the moment), but emails should be replied on!!! Especially since he replied to the first one I sent!!! I want my money back and the journey to get it back starts now. DON't use them!!!!

Well, I managed to sign up but was sent a billing request for 0.00 - that's very nice but I don't know how to pay it. Currently, my account shows as having a bill outstanding, but it's for zero! Haven't been able to do anything with this site yet. Maybe it's just early days and it will all come right. After all, they have had some very good reviews.

Wow. What can I say? Best host EVER? Most likely. You get an inordinate amount of space and bandwith, also PHP, CGI, mySQL, Email, Custom Error Pages, FTP, and more! No ads, but if you place them on your website you get more free web space and bandwidth! The only not-greatest thing was signup, which took them 3 hours for them to approve my signup, but it was worth it. As of right now, CPanel is down, but this has been the first problem I've seen since signing up. Get this web host now!

This is probably the BEST host I've ever been with. Even though there is no phone support, the staff are very helpful and the through the live chat my problems were resolved very quickly. Not only that the people there are very nice, especially Michael L Wells. I highly recommend this host.

"FRandT sincerely apologises to all Gravity Server users (GRAVITY.FRANDT.NET). A Rootkit of a classified I.D was installed on the server,Thus causing the shut-down of all Gravity Server suggesting accounts. As much as we apologise for this, it was not at all FRandT's fault, a rootkit is a form of "Hack" which was installed by a FRandT User.We have gained control after siverely hard-work. Again this is a perfect example of the hard-work FRandT puts into it's members benefits."

It is a good free-website with MySQL. But it has vary frequent downtime this month, so I bought another web hosting. It seems OK these days. I am not sure if the free-host is still available. If so, I recommand www.frandt.com to anyone.

I'm really forced to give them a 1 as the site they've given me doesn't work. When I received the login email, it showed the URL to my site, and that URL doesn't work. The IP address is also just 3 dots (...). I've emailed them to ask what could be wrong, but it's been near two weeks and I haven't had any type of response.

Their Terms and conditons pages dumped me back to their home page, and part way through attempting to register for a free web I got a 404 by agreeing to their terms.

This was one of the first free web hosts I tried to sign up with. The website looks very professionally designed but the sign up for free virtual domain is a nightmare. After being led around and around I gave up trying to sign up. From the overly complex sign up procedure, I can only assume that this host doesn't want you to get free web hosting but really wants you to pay for it. I have a technical background and am very familiar with computers so anyone who isn't as experienced may have trouble. My recommendation to this host (if they care) is either to offer free web hosting with limited access (to deter spammers) and a simpler sign up page so he won't alienate potential customers, or not offer any free virtual web hosting at all.

These people are the worst free web hosting company I have ever seen on the web. First they told me to register an account. JUST ACCOUNT, nothing more, and told me to RATE their website, without even creating an hosting account.
Later they again said me to register NOW FOR THE web hosting account. OK I registered, they send me the web hosting details for my domain name. I changed my DNS information as told and It was not mapped even in 48 hrs. When I tired to enquire with them they send me email, ONLY PAID users can ask for support. LATER after 5 hrs they send me an email SAYING DID THEY SAY THAT THEY WILL HOST MY SITE?. What a question was that. After sending all login details, billing details WITHOUT IP address as host name..., 48 hrs later they ask me do i have registered account on their server. I had mailed them and its been more than 10 hrs no reply. AND MY WEBSITE HAS BEEN DOWN DUE TO THIS TRANSFER FOR MORE THAN 2 DAYS. I kindly want to know HOW THIS HOSTING COMPANY is rated HIGH on your directory. THEY FORCE TO RATE EVEN BEFORE ACCOUNT IS CREATED.

It might seem okay, but you can't use hotmail, gmail, or any other free email-accounts. You also have to fill in your credit card info, even when you choose for the $0.00 plan.

Got my domain name from them in the beginning of March, but they still haven't given me a free website, even after multiple emails to and from them. I recommend no one deal with them ever.

Web navigation and signup are ridiculously complicated. Also if you try to signup by using the check availability search box for a supposedly free subdomain name, after a few pages, you come to a choice of payments, of which the minimum billing cycle choice is 1 year for $39.95 (not free). No thanks!

Very complicated admission process. And when succesfull with that... nothing! I got the confirmation emails and everything but no go. After trying three different accounts (one as subdomain of free.frandt.net and two linked to tld's, registered elsewhere with dns set to ns1.frandt.net)
I gave up because none of them came online, so to speak. Even after days waiting for the dns new settings to 'propagate' there was no answer when browsing to these addresses. When I tried to get an answer from FRandT, there was no reply, not even a standard one... :( This service stinks! I'm not expecting the best of service or excelent uptimes at all for free but they should at least do what they say on their website!

Registering is a bit of puzzle. It is a "two step" process requiring a double registration. Finished both registrations, came to the last step and it would no longer accept the username and password (they assign.) I know everything is correct as I cut and pasted the username and password up to that point. Even requested and tried a new password. On the site they claim if you sign on to the cpanel too quickly you are locked out for two hours. I think if they have a free quota that has been reached they will not log you on. So if you have 20-30 minutes of your life you want to waste, Good Luck!

Had nothing but trouble. I thought I would test this web hosting service before I paid big bucks. Well I am glad I didn't pay. The support is hopeless, I have filled in about 8 support tickets and have heard NOTHING. What a waste of time.

Ok, if your wondering why i rated them so harshly, heres why:
a) their servers are rarely up, they spend more time down than anything else
b) it is real messy signing up, you get given half a dozen different usernames and passwords for various parts of the site
c) ftp doesnt work
e) their features are great, but with a lot of downtime and lack of ftp uploading capabilities, they stink.

How do you have to make a site? I've made a account, but still can't do anything, cpanel? where can I find it? it's nowhere, and there were pages were I had to fill in creditcard numbers and stuff, free??? stupid unlogical site. I've spent hours trying to make an account and trying to upload files with FTP, but it isn't possible I guess.

I signed up twice already using two emails addresses but still no response from them, the first one was GOOD FRIDAY. They do not allow using the same email for signup. I have yet to receive my website information and four days has passed. Their home page says instant activation.

A great host offering loads of extra features in a small easy package. However the signup process is very difficult, with only certain email addresses being allowed and support taking quite a while to be supported.

This is by FAR the worst free host I've seen. Connection is so slow that I couldn't ever connect to my cpanel! I do mean EVER! I let it try and load for over 20 minutes!!! Their excuse, the one they have in their faq or wherever I found it on their site was "remember, there are thousands of people connecting and viewing on the free servers. This will slow down page load times and log in times". of course I'm not direct quoting, just paraphrasing. Don't try this web host. No matter what. Terrible web hosting service.

Sorry to be so negative, but I tried many times to register without success. Finally, after many months, got registered - but could not log in via FTP with the details they gave me. Sent numerous e-mails which were just ignored. Hope others have better luck, but I can only comment on my poor experiences.

Firstly, it is evident those guys are trying to confue you into paying up some money. Secondly, the second signup place, where personal data is required is accessible to third parties. Scary. I apparently reached nowhere, with a weird sensation wondering whether I had actually created the domain. I tried to find some upload/FTP help, but all I got was some unhelpful text and no chance to do anything, as other people have said. Someone should make a step by step tutorial on this site.

Communications are patchy and inconsistent. Customer service is appalling. Read their signup pages and marvel at the work of hopelessly confused minds. They gave me an account (eventually) but no amount of emails from me could get any response from them at all about how to use their services. Eventually, I gave up and went elswhere. Don't waste your time.

This site offers a lot of nice features, when it is up. My free website is down about once ever other week, which isn't so bad, but if you want to acess cpanel, forget about it. Also it is almost impossible to access the mysql database. If you manage to get logged in, it takes forever to do anything. Not bad, but I hope I can find better free hosting.

First, there are several user names I was asked to put.
Second, I was really confused when I finished ordering the domain and spent an hour in your homepage to find how to upload my html files and failed to find any information regarding this.
Third, after receiving your emails about my account, I tried to ftp my files and always be refused when connecting the ip address given in the email. This is very disappointing.

navigating this site is a MONSTER and with all of the features that they offer watch this host go down from overloading! when u go to sign up they ask you to pay money and i get totally lost on this site. i don't recommend it.

Somebody there praised the host and said "i am a programmer and a webmaster and they are good etc". Well, so am I, and when i try to login after creating an account this is what i get: "Your browser does not support JavaScript!"
And i thought my techers were kinda simple when they felt the urge to explain to us: "DO NOT bind ANY essential functionality like navigation or logins of the site to client-side scipting, ever". Well, seeing this time and time again i am getting their point. And why i simply don't enable JS? Because it is *not* my responsibility to make any site work. If they can't provide a sensible solution to provide this basic functionality, is there really a reason to expect anything better elsewhere?
Summa Summarum: luckily this one isn't the only host in the world. Actually there are are lots more elsewhere.

I have been using a few free web hosting, but no one is better than Frandt.com. Apart from fast signup, there is no forced Banner like most web hosting companies in the world. Frandt.com also provide rich features which web programmers can utilise when building powerful websites.

This webhost is absolutely horrible. Sure, you get everything for free and it has all these great features, but the site never works. 90% of the time I check my e-mail through these guys, their server isn't up. Same thing with trying to host a page. They have the worst servers I've ever seen. Slow, and always down. Stay away from these guys. The only reason they have such a high rating too is because when you first sign up, and before you have your webspace activated, they ask you to vote for them on this site as a great host.

Signed up for a new domain one week ago. Paid $15.95. Also registered for a free trial. This domain has never worked. I don't know how to use the free account. Sent two emails to Customer Support. Logged a online Tar. Called and placed my phone no for support (only voice mail available). No response for 4 days. I will call my credit card company to report this. Today, frandt.com is down [it loads very slow for me].

I give them a 3 for the features they offer and having no ads. Unfortunately, that's about the only positive thing I have to say. Features are not much use if you can't get to your site and you can't upload anything. Downtime is rediculous. I have 8Mbps ADSL and I get timeouts trying to connect to my site about 30% of the time. Sometimes hours go by before I can get to it. Cpanel is so painfully slow that it's basically useless unless you have half an hour to spare waiting for the page to load. As for FTP, it connects about 10% of the time if you are lucky and I've spent an hour trying to upload a 50k file. Unless you have the patience of a saint and don't really care if anyone ever sees your site, I recommend looking elsewhere.

I think Frandt is a winner. Thank you to Kimberly who works in suport for being VERY helpful when I had a login problem. She treats you with the same respect as if you had a PAID account. Excellent customer service. Its amazing what all they offer for FREE! I am expecially greatful for them offering PHP and FTP. I have had only a few times where my site was down, but they are upfront with that in the signup.
For free who can complain?

this site is NOT FREE. the free trial package which is only way to get the free webspace includes free of charges, free subsubdomain (name.free.frandt.com) and a 1 penny tax/service charge! the only thign you can do on it for FREE is get a subsubdomain name which you can transfer like any real domain.

I really wouldn't know how this webhosting works because it's impossible to sign up: after I "signed up", it sent me an email with activation link -> I click -> it says the account is activated -> I can't login. I even requested and received a new password (thinking maybe I made a typo while registering) -- it doesn't recognize that one either. Contacting them for human support is hopeless, you wouldn't get a reply. Other things: I'd say their design is nice, but navigation is really confusing. And numerous spelling errors on their website!

Well on a positive note, it's free and they have Cpanel, Cpanel is a good panel which I really like. But its slow and unreliable. But beggars can't be choosers. I would recommend this for people who doesn't really need their site to be up all the time. If there's such kind of people.

Says it takes 5 days to validate free accounts, still not accessible after 1 week. Awful support, with the owner essentially insulting users daring asking why their websites is not accessible. They even shut down their servers completely on 16th and it happens again today. This is apparently a one-man company but he obviously needs to work to fix all the issues with his site. I won't even talk about the spelling errors, they're all over the place. Too bad, it looked promising.

The features I think OK about this site are:
- Easy to register (better than 000k.com)
- Provide CPanel

There are a lot of bad features:
- Connections to CPanel and Website are terribly slow.
- FTP account doesn't work (Authentication fail), not accourding to the username and password sent to user via mail.
- Owners of this hosting service doesn't know anything when they said that they supported Java. Certainly, there is no support for JSP/Servlet whatsoever here.
- They leave a lot of backdoor for MySQL connections from their own host, so your MySQL database may not be secure.

I decide to stop hosting my site at this service immediately after testing for a few hours.

I've registered an account with them 5 months ago, and everything was pretty good. I mean cpanel, no ads, 100 megs... it's all nice.
Here's the thing. They had this server status window in the control panel, and ALL the servers were 90% or so busy. Everything was unbelievably slow. REALLY slow. I gave up.
I came by it couple of days ago and my account is still there. It's not as slow as it was then, but I've seen faster servers on dial-up connections.

FRandT webhosting, so far, is the best hosting. I mean, it is the most stable. I know, because, I've signed up with several other web hosting plans AFTER i signed up with FRandT. At first I was very happy. My account was set up quickly, the account had all the things I wanted (php, phpBB, cPanel, etc). But, in the middle of January things deteriorated to the point that the account was no longer usable for me. My site was unreachable for several hours each day, as were the mail servers. Support from FRandT was negligible. Take a look at their support forums (you have to register at thier site to see them, click on support in the side menu, then click support forums), and you'll see nothing but problems. They offer a lot for little, and if you don't need your site to be up whenever you go to it, they give you a great deal. If you need your site and mail on all the time, try somehwere else. That's what I have now done.

This site is simply cool. I love the CpanelX and others plus the no-ads policy. The mightiest problem I have is that contrary to offering ASP (which is why I registered) it has no support for asp in any way (which is why it scored a 9). the registration was a bit of a long-winded pain. it doesn't allow free e-mails (hotmail, gmail, etc.) but doesn't actually tell you, it just keeps telling you that your e-mail and/or password is incorrect. you need to use a pop e-mail address. apart from that, it seems genuine enough.

we stop here and we put some reviews to FRANDT, Inc. because our Indonesian Student's Association in India site was hosted by FRANDT, Inc., As well as we know that the FRANDT webhost was a great one webhost we ever find and they provided everything in the webhost but in anyway we hope also for FRANDT's staff to announces every one of a free clients about a new TOS who has registered because as we know we just knew like displaying a new banner from FRANDT or something else. it's very important to say. I have tried some other so-called free hosting sites but they are not quite what I expected. If its not a target specification that they have set down for e.g. traffic to web site must be 20-50mb etc or some other condition that's set to discourage the user (me that is), its some other thing. I hope that its not the case with FRandT and that if I am more knowledgeable about PHP and MySQL I can then as a associate or business partner, re-sell FRandT in my part of the world. I really can't comment more as I have yet to try out FRandT services completely, this being my new sign-up but I hope that things will turn out well. Cheers.

A very good host! It has pretty much webspace and a nice ammount of bandwidth. Also, PHP and MySQL are the positive sides of this! The only bad thing about it is that you have to either buy or already have your own domain. You can also buy extra space or bandwidth for your account, if you don't need to buy a whole hosting plan. This is one of the best free hosts I've ever seen, wonderful!

This is the best free host i could find for my domain, the have also really cool features, so... why don't you try it, give it the chance to make your simple site a pro-site. They support: CGI, MySQL, PHP and also have Fantastico and features such like phpBB and cool graphic stats. This host is okay. First off, they are saying that it is FREE, when it is really $0.01/month and you have to have a PayPal account. It is good for the instant activation though. So if you can't buy things online, then don't go to this host.

This is not a free host - they require you to give them your paypal details, and after a year will "charge $0.01" to make sure you are still a real person! How ridiculous.

The server constantly goes offline for a few minutes, then comes back online for a few minutes (and then repeats this cycle). This is really annoying if you have a commercial website hosted with them. Email is not working at all. You cannot finish what you was doing in cpanel before the server goes offline.

The funny signup process apart... I signed up, and got an email telling me that due to personal info verification they do, it'll take up to five days to activate my account. Resonable, but after three weeks, my account is still inactive. I can't even log in to check if it's been activated, because the system claims it doesn't even exist. I could log in before they changed their website, though. I'll try creating a new account, but if they don't want people signing up for free hosting, why don't they just say so?

I absolutely cannot believe the negtive marks here. A free host, what is everyone complaining about? Ok first of all, I cannot say anything bad at all about this server. Secondly: I recommend it definately. I've been with FRandT for about *counts* 7 months. About a month ago, the downtime for this host was absolutely horrible, however, after they have changed service providers, I have not seen even the slightest skip in performance.
I work at IBM, so our connection is 20/20 (up and down) and I can download just as fast from this server as I can from download mirrors around the world. Also, in reference to processing PHP, no other server can claim contest to this one! I have seen this server process a PHP based page in about 0.000823 seconds. I have an account with OOOk and OCatch, and I love benchmarking my sites, and I have to say, that FRandT is more than 1000 times faster, literally. I just ran the same script that is on FRandT and here are the results:
Average in 5 Mins (Running script 30 times)
FRandT: 0.001149 seconds
000K: 0.123892 seconds
0Catch: 1.210933 seconds
RackSpace: 0.049832 seconds

Well there are the facts, and that looks pretty clear. And I did throw a paid host in there as well. RackSpace is one of the most costly web hosts out there, however they do sell total and supreme quality, however it does not hold water to FRandT servers at all.

Here are the features that I know they have:
1. PHP (with Zend and MCrypt)
2. ASP.NET (Mono)
3. CGI (Perl, Python, etc)
4. Email POP3 and SMTP with SpamAssassian, and ClamScan virus scanning realtime on the emails. Fowarding, Mailing lists, etc.
5. FTP server that is the fastest that I have ever experienced. PERIOD.
6. 100 MB of disk space.
7. 2,400 MB of bandwidth per month (If you read the fine print, but it is still free).
8. Domain Add-ons (and yes it works!)
9. Custom MX records
10. Library of Scripts ranging from phpBB and invision, to PHPNuke and POSTNuke. Absoutely amazing.
11. Cpanel... That says it all.
12. A very litigimate company, where if there are any problems with the server, all I have to do is dial a toll free number to get ahold of them.

I like the options that they offer, and they are quick to respond for the free signup. Hosting is up 99.9% if not 100% of the time. They have great bandwidth and I have not noticed a slow down. They say that they make you pay $1 for the service, but if you do as they tell you to, then you don't have to pay anything. And on top of that, the staff is excellent. I find they are very knowledgeable and will help when you need them... Plus how can you beat a free host without any banners.

i'll rate 2, it'd look rather bad if it's a 1.
because i have not yet receive my password after 3 days (that is 72 hours) which they have mentioned the password will be sent within the next 24 hours.
ah, by the way, people DO NOT RATE unless you actually have a website hosted there. this site, before they sent the password to you, they will tell you to rate for them here. So what happens if you rated them a 10 and never received your password? no saying i did that, but i believe many people did.

I've been with them for a couple of days now, and initially I thought it was great - things were very quick and very reliable. However, in a matter of only a couple of days, things went downhill -- and boy did they go downhill FAST. There are MAJOR issues with speed. The server is constantly going through downtime. Anonymous FTP uploads -do not- work. Access to my CP was cut off for two days for no reason. The support is vague at best, and when you ask for help, you're typically given the generic circle of Q's and A's (do you have a firewall, what's your internet connection, etc.) which accomplish nothing. Go ahead and give them a try if you want... there's not much to lose. Just don't depend on them at all. Of course, you get what you pay for.

Been a few days on this one. All in all the speed is terrible, I'm not completely convinced that this host is anything more than a DSL broadband connection in a teenagers bedroom. I'm tiring of freehosting providers now, if you're going to offer a service at least come up with the goods, whether free or otherwise.

This is the most childish web host on the planet earth!! Downtime was so high that you don't need a monitoring services to notice it and their web stat still claim a 100% uptime. They even argue on how uptime should be measure his side of the story is as long as his server is running that is considered 100% uptime and don't matter if you are able to connect to the server or not! Only after complaint on the downtime get out of control than only they said there was a mistake and error on their stat monitoring script. Any negative comments on Forum and news comment posting on their site are deleted and he said he own the server and he can do anything he like!! well, he got the right anyway..but..Is he running a school computer club or a web hosting company?
Last week end all news posting and comment posting on their site suddenly just disappeared and they claim it was due to a bug in their system, how on earth that people who run web server business has no back up on their own website? Complaint continue to get posted on the down time and his manner in doing business on their news comments. Than this guy just disguises himself as a lawyer and warn everybody that he will take legal action against any one who don't keep their mouth shut!! He also claim that he know everybody in the IT industry just to tun his customer down. Give this guy three more years to grow up and than maybe he will have a good hosting company, right now this is a joke. No harm try out the free hosting for the paid service..MMMM...let me think it over for another year. By the way their uptime is 87.17% for the last 30days, his manner and business conduct is not any better then the uptime. I rate them 4 partly becuase his partner is a much better person and make a lot more sense and handle the business well and do a lot of business damage repair created by the BIG BOSS.

This is really the BEST free web host, you could have to pay $10 per month to get something like this. They offer cpanel loads of sql databases and 100mb. The only downside is their downtime.

I've been using this host for few weeks. They offer you very much and, actually, you get all of what they promised. One _small_ "but". Average data transfer is around 4 KB/s, downtime maybe is not very bad. ToS are a little terrifying too.
cPanel, 5 mysql databases, 100MB of diskspace, subdomains, ftp accounts (which obviously rarely send faster than 4KB/s) and instant activation. If poor transfer speed at most of time is not a problem for you, it's worth giving a try.

It seems decent enough... they are not down as much as before (not by much though), but the 10-30 second signup process was more like a 3-4 hour wait... so i tryed to login anyways, and i got a 'could not find the database' error... and i tried again while i wrote this... and WOW!!! Guess what!? It was down!!!! I don't recomend this service at all! I don't even know how it got rated this high.

Being the one of the free user, I have told you its worth to put your website in this host. Just be more patient for their upgrade. I put my website on this site around one month, and right now in the google search I can easily found my site with the keywords, and always list in the 1st or 2nd place. I didn't use cheat to stimulate the google robot to find my site. So their server must be stable and have lots of uptime for robot to find my site; that's what I am thinking.

Well, I had this host for a few months. Everything looked great and even worked great, until a few weeks later. They started being down almost constantly, and the worst part is that if confronted they will deny the problems and sometimes if you persist they will even get nasty. Its soo bad it took me 2 days of trying every few hours before I could connect to them long enough to cancel my account, even then my own website was still down. I live 60 miles south of where they are based, we got vitually no bad weather from that hurricane, so no excuses there. I dont know what is going wrong at FRandT but something most definetly is. I would recomend getting a paid host or just using a free one for temporary testing.

WERE down because they were upgrading. That is true, I could see that through my nettools and through additional services they have. Worth trying out. No "validation" waiting junk, really instant. It is better and works smoother than my local server in the network. Do not try if you want to keep bandwidth and CPU usage for old users. :)

The worst hosting i have ever know. They have serious uptime problems, but worst thing is that they don't even apologise! The excuse they give is normally 'scheduled maintenance', but without warning anyone first - not by email, their news page nor their forums. And I was a paying customer! Avoid at all costs - even for free it's terrible :(

To connect to the server (be it FTP or HTTP), I will have to try every now and then, in case I am lucky at one. Even after finding it, the FANTASTICO is not licensed, the FTP server disconnects before a started upload is finished? Does "FREE" mean so bad?

I started using Frandt few months back, and was so happy to have found almost everything on this hosting site. I initially made a free account and used it as a trial. Very soon I upgraded to a Paid member (i paid for 1 full year) and immediately i realised that the server is almost always down. There is no support. Can u believe that support tickets are not opened for 2-3 months??? Its the WORST SERVICE in the world. I am leaving my $70 and moving soon to another server. Now I am very cautious and looking for some good Linux hosting sites.

Expect more downtime than an unpatched Win95 box :( As a paying customer for 2 months, I found their support one of the worst in the industry - M$ could do a better job with their hands tied behind their back. They only have a couple of staff - and that's including the 24 year old 'CEO' who admits to letting his techs 'learn on the job' resulting in completely messing up their DNS servers for days on end. All my sites down, email down - the lot :( Don't believe the 100% uptime graph on their front page - a complete lie. As a free host, maybe - just don't pay money for it.

An excellent hosting service provider with a lot of features... They have the latest cPanel & I think that they update every aspect of their services regularly. You can have a trial account of 100MB with no banners at all for FREE. I have my account on FRandT for 4 months approx. & I have never felt any downtime. The only problem is running php scripts... on which they are working & I think they'll solve it very soon. They really have very FAST servers & a good support team. This free webhost is the best I have seen in six years of being online. There are no negative aspects. You have a good amount of space, all forms of coding you could want to use, ready-to-use and very helpful scripts where you can install them with a click, free e-mail accounts relative to your site's domain, chat feature, mySQL and Postgre Databases, sub-domain, mailing list, and tons more. Unlike any other webhosting service I have seen this also includes full control over hotlinking, directory access, multiple FTP accounts and also: file permissions control which is crucial for the use of bulletin boards/discussion forums and similar services. It is also reliable, fast, and quick and helpful support. This free version is better than many of the "premium" services out there. I would recommend this to anyone: in fact I find anybody not using it to be quite silly. This is the best webhost I have ever come across in six years.

I enjoy Frant.com. They are fast and supply PHP and mysql.
I only have one gripe about them, but considering it's a free service I really don't have a leg to stand on. It took 2 or 3 weeks before my account became active. Other than that, it's been great. I have looked at several diffent providers (freewebs.com, 100webspace.com to name a couple) but I've found Frant.com to be the most reliable and the fastest.

This host is the BEST. Absolutely the best! The sign up process is a little confusing, but is now explained (when I signed up it wasn't explained).
The features they offer for free are amazing! No Ads, Extremly fast servers, lots of disk space and bandwidth (which can be upgraded rather easily for free), Cpanel, free scripts, the ablility to install your own scripts, Great customer support, The list goes on and on! I've been using them for several months now and am very satisfied. They have had some downtime issues that seem to be resolved at this time. Uptime since the problems have been fixed has been excellent! I would recommend them for their free web hosting or their paid hosting. Yes, they are that good. There really isn't any free web hosting on this site now. They have the following message up (at the bottom of the page):

"The Basics - Unlimited FREE Trial is currently unavailable. This is to insure that the backlog of these accounts are delt with. Once these have been delt with this package will be brought back again."

The reason they have this backlog is because they're activating the free accounts MANUALLY. By the looks of it, by editing the SQL database with a hex editor! Automation is possible, but these guys don't know how to use it. Hence a human-created backlog that a computer could "deal with" in seconds. They do not belong at the top of this list. They belong at the bottom.

So I started to sign up for free, and then decided that the drastic increase in services was great for the first level of paid hosting... And now I'm really considering this server a piece of junk. As far as I'm concerned, the potential features are Great! But the complete lack of response from the service department (assuming there even is one), and the percentage of uptime in the last three days is about 10% total... I recommend some other host.

Im sure this is a great host.. at least it seems like it.. but their customer service is ridiculous... i signed up for an account on this server 14 days ago.. yes.. 2 whole weeks, and they have STILL not processed my account yet. I can login on the website however, so I know they activated my account, but my website is still pending. This is ridiculous.. if they ever finally process my account completely, it better be worth the wait.. or I would have rather rated them a 1.

This is theoretically a great host - but unfortunately it is down quite a bit during the day. They do not ever answer emails (at least for the free sites), so expect to be learning a lot. The good news is it's free and they have a TON of stuff, like SQL, Perl, and great stats programs. You name it, they've got it. Kind of low bandwidth, but I don't come close to it - just design your site with some intelligence.

IT has sooo many options ..I cant believe they are giving it for free ... It has everything a paid server has. only limitation is, the quantity. 100 mb space. Think about the other things, You can add 2 domains, 2 subdomains, 1 addon domain, pop mail addresses ... it has built in chat applet, log applications, ftp, file manager .. Soooo many options. THIS IS the best :D

Just OK; hosted my Uni.CC domain. More bandwidth would be appreciated though. 300 MB per month is just not enough for most users. Even 500 MB/mth would make me happier. The downtimes may stink bad but give this host a try anyway.

Terrible. I tried to sign up and their sign-up form takes me in a never ending loop. I entered the same information FOUR TIMES before I just simply gave up. Unless they plan to simplify their sign-ups, I won't try this web host again.

This is my actual hosting. Even if I think it's one of the best in the world, I rate it 8 because:
- They have too long downtimes.
- The registration was a little strange (you have to fill 100 forms, accept pages&pages of contracts; after the registration you are told to pay $0 :D ; after 2-3 days you receive a confusing email about your account's status with wrong links and stuff like that :D ; after another 1-2 days you finally receive a beautiful email with "Your account has resolved to our servers" as subject. finallyyyy! )
- There are only 2 MySQL databases... that is a DB for the PHP site and another for a forum. Ugh, it could be ok for people who (like me) built a guestbook by themselves, integrating its tables in the site's database.

But it's fast and efficient. And it has CPanel. so... OK!

Excellent hosting for those who seeking one fast solution for web project. They have full-setup cpanel (who tried to setup cpanel 8 on Unix will understand what is it ;). I saw a few hosts which have PhpMyAdmin working!
I put them 10, though today I am about to put 9. The feature is in their nameservers. I have automated root server for my regional domain. It has never responded ok to ns1.frandt.com... I know, it might be not FrandT bug, but I tried my own DNS script and did not find SOA for my domain.
Funny, but they have required to move to their NS, which can't work properly without right SOA/PTR records. They suggested their subdomain... Well, not for me.

What can you do with 300mb bandwidth. They could offer a million mb of space and it wouldn't matter. The details are wrong on this site, it is only 300mb bandwidth!

Great host. What can you say? It's free! I don't receive the "spam" from them - asking me to send emails to review sites like this one. However, they don't respond to emails or 'trouble tickets'. I guess that's because they don't make anything from me. The hosting ITSELF is very good - uptime is excellent and the features are great.

This is a great place to host if you are a newbie (like I was). It forces you to figure everything out on your own - since there is not much for support, you end up learning how to FTP and write your own Perl scripts, etc.

Since signing up with these guys, I have had many, many problems, but all of them were 'solveable' by ME using some measure of "cleverness". Long story short, if you're going to use these guys, be aware that you'll be in the big-boy program with little help from support. The features and free hosting are exactly what they promise, though - so have some fun and sign up!

This is an excellent host! I don't understand the complaints about frandt! First of all it's free. Not only is it free, but you don't have to worry about posting to any forums! Not to mention you get 100 MEGS of space with no banners/ads with all of the bells and whistles you would get with a paid host of less caliber. Don't just take my word for it, compair the features of the other hosts and ask yourself (do you want to have to constantly post to someones forum and still get less service!). One other note: There are hosts under the business allowed category that do not allow commercial sites, what do you think a business site is? You will not have this problem with this host. I'm very happy that I finally found a good host that delivers what they say. :-)

this host gives many features and instant signup, but the service isn't great and it goes down too much and with only 300mb bandwidth, you can't do much. They also email all members everyday with sometimes not a very good reason and ask all the members to spam the admin off here with messages saying that this should be in the best section. Thats probably why this host isn't in the best section, and even if they didn't, it shouldn't be. If you want a host, go with something like freesites.ws, they may only offer 15mb space, but they don't spam you with emails everyday.

FR&T are terrible. They offer a nice bundle of things for free, but their server is so unstable and unreliable. In the period of two weeks in which i had an account with them, there server was down twice! I had to find someone else to host my site for that time period, and i have decided that they are a good investment. I am now paying 200 a year for a much better service!

"FTP+Browser Combo" does not refer to having both, but to having an upload system requiring requiring browser activity to import the FTPed files after FTPing. It is not additional points, but is lesser points awarded in place of having full FTP ability without browser use required. Currently only one free host listed has this feature. I will modify the rating system soon to remove the confusion.

The maximum points awarded on databases is 6 points, which Frandt has.

Before today, any host with 250 MB or less was deducted 10 points with a "Note:" in the description. I have just raised it to 300 MB (the free-webhosts.com site uses 100 times that much), so now Frandt gets subtracted 10 more points.

While this site does offer overnight (at time) acceptance, the entire process can be quite unnerving. For instance, they are having much trouble with hackers. They warn you there may be a chance you get hacked into when using FTP. However, the entire process, from loading to making new directories and such is SLOW. Very slow. I have been with FR & T for a month now, and all I have to say is that it is POOR. Downtime, and all. My site is even inaccessible 75% of the time, because it leads me to a directory, and not the index.html or index.php pages. Thus, I suggest looking elsewhere. Those who have rated this service a '10' probably have not worked with it, but I have. And trust me, it is NOT worth the aggravation.

All the features are great and the databases on a free host? Unbelieveable. And the support is great. They reply always within 6 hours.

But the problem is, its down alot. It could be hackers or maybe even high traffic but in my first 6 days with them, 4 days they were down. This is incredibly high and I don't know if this is usual or just a bad week. Hope its just a bad week.

Well, they have great stuff! Some of it for free is better than many paid hosting packages. I love CPanelX...(I still suffer with 1and1.com Control Panel with a couple of their "free trial" accounts.) They have free support that works ALMOST as fast as lightning.
However... They recently lost the ENTIRE DNS Database (due to worm? ever hear of Antivirus? and backups?), making everyone have to reestablish there accounts.....and then....they are DOWN for 10 HOURS, and then 4 HOURS, and then 17 HOURS......I also wonder when they are gonna move again?
+10 For Package Content and Space, also for support.
-5 For overlooked server backups and security against bugs/hackers, also pitiful downtime levels.

I signed up for a 2 yr domain registration and a hosting package because they allowed paypal, and now for some reason I cannot even access their homepage. I don't know if this is a glitch, or if I just got scammed, or if they are just having problems with their site today of all days with the worst timing in the world...will keep you updated...

OK, this host is very cool!! First of all, it is pretty hard to set up, because they use a template for all their hosting plans (they set it up for mainly paid hosting), but it is pretty good, as someone said earlier, apply for the host, wait overnight, and voilÃƒ !! Free hosting!!
The addition of cpanel and PHP (4!!) and SQL, and frontpage extensions and e-mail forwarding and, and EVERYTHING!!! Very good value!!

When i skimmed over the main cpanel page, i saw that i have about 100 Megabytes, that is just fine for a not-so-personal webpage (I plan to use at least half of that space), this is just too good to be true!! (IT STINKS!!) the approach to hackers, while harsh, is reasonable, seeing as they caused the host to be offline for a long period of time, the CEO posting here saying that you still can access your page is a very good sign, because when the CEO of a company talks directly to you, you know they are commited to customer service.

Overall, i'd reccomend this hosting service, but don't all come tho this place, i want to keep it all for myself!! MWAHAHAHAHA!! ;)

Wow! I would just like to say this is the BEST free webhost I have ever used! You get 100MB space, no ads, CGI, PHP, ASP, SSI, FrontPage Extensions, Perl, Python, Free sub-domain, A Fast server, The bandwidth is limit 300 MB/month, POP3, SMTP, Forwarding, and Web-based Email. Autoresponder, SSH, SSL, Statistics, Cpanel, MySQL and PostregSQL databases, phpBB, Custom error pages and MORE!

best free host ever. a lil hard to find the sign up but all you have to do is go to the free trials things they have and you'lll find it... oh and click mail order... you wont have to send anything in but its a glitch in their system (their only one i promise). anyways SUPER SUPER SUPER fast support... i was up at 1 am and submitted a ticket... 10 minutes later i have a reply in my mailbox... cpanel is one of the newer ones, very easy to use and FTP woo hoo!... anyways this is the best ever...pretty quick acceptance even if it is through email... really quick actually... anyways

I haven't registered yet but no host ads, allowance to place your ads, TONS of space and bandwidth, this looks like an amazing free host. The only thing I can see that would look better is coolfreepages.com because of unlimited bandwitdth on even free packages. Oh yeah, frandt has lots of bandwidth so nothing to worry about there. Support for lots of scripts, looks great!

This is an AWESOME host. Yeah, they had two days' worth of downtime from a hacker, and all the data got blown, but they had a backup and that was cool.

FTP is fast and easy to use; servers are good as well, and how good are the features????? I was with them and I was thinking (during the hacking thing) man, this is going to be another six-month-free-hosting-and-then-close-down thing, but truly I see no shaking in their pillars.

This is such a great free web hosting, but don't everybody go to it! Heh heh, all the free space for me, hehehehehehe.......

As far as features go, this host is the best around. However, it is down A LOT! It came back with linux hosting after 5 MONTHS of downtime, and has gone down about 3 times, if not more, since then. Thats during the day, too. If you're willing to put up with downtime often, this is a good webhost. Otherwise, I would get a 50free.com account when they start accepting new accounts (even though they were supposed to on January 15th 2004).

This webhosting is terrible. First they tried to upgrade their servers because they got hacked so much. Then their servers were down for a month. Then they upgrade their control panel and the old one doesn't work. Then they tell us to signup for a .frandt.net other than a frandt.com and then I can't login to the new CP.. A few too many problems with this host.

When i first signed up in november i couldn't believe all
the extras they had.... it was great. Then 2 days later my site was down for a good 12 hours, & then came back online for a few hours before going offline for another 12. and so it went on.

Yeah they had some problems with hackers, then they did a big upgrade to the system which is why we were all knocked offline. However they then requested everybody reinstate their account by downloading all the files we had spent hours uploading, then deleting our acconuts, then set up the account again to upload the files. Only thing was FTP didn't work & the system couldn't find your old site ?!

Anyway i have now set up another account & the new servers are alot faster. however you can't chmod files 777 to get my .php scripts working so it's all pretty useless at the minute.

When you join try contacting anyone at FRANDT by email... go on try it! Your email gets bounced straight back to you due to an error with there system. you can't join the support forums due to errors also, so your left frustrated after hours of trying to get your site up & running.

overall - on paper they are the best free web host (probably), but in reality.... well join & make up your own mind.

in conclusion - if your reading this & it's friday, try
AS-Hosting first. that's where i'm going!! if not give FRANDT a go & good luck. you'll need it. arf.

I've been with FR&T for about 5 months now, from what I have seen they have had 3 major downtimes, after switching from free to paid services, have have seen no downtime what-so-ever. However, after each downtime that I did see, I would say that it was worth it, being that each time, they had added IP addresses to their networks, name servers, and new features, and each time, the services became 10X faster.

So far I have seen a total of about 0.001% downtime if you tally up 5 months worth. Also I have never seen scripts execute as fast as this server executes them, I mean even www.invisionfree.com executes scripts at like 0.00984 seconds, this server executes at 0.00009 seconds EVERY TIME! Plus they have Image Magic, the GD library, which far surpasses other hosts that I have had in the past, EVEN THE PAID ONES!

Ladies and Gentilemen, we are dealing with a FREE internet POWERHOUSE, that as I have seen will meet every internet need you have, for example, you need promotions? Great, they have a free web site submission wizard that will submit your web site to over 100 search engines, and best yet, YOU CAN SEE IT SUBMITTING THEM! If one fails or like some that require the human intervention, they have an easy wizzard for you to go through to complete the submission.

How about advertising? Yeah they have their own banner exchange, and best yet, that too is, yeah you guessed it, FREE!

Ecards? Also free..

Their own search engine, yup free.

Domain registrations? That and the paid web hosting services, is the only things I have seen that you have to pay for.

My overall opinion of this site is: This is Yahoo.com suped up! I mean this is awesome. By the way, when is the last time you were able to chat REAL TIME or on the PHONE with Yahoo.com's CEO? All you have to do is tell the rep you want to talk with the CEO and they patch you through with NO questions whatsoever! I have NEVER, I mean NEVER seen service like this in my ENTIRE life!

What they say they offer seems great, but just read what you are signing:

"I understand that if I am found or SUSPECTED of having two accounts, I herby authorize FR&T to search all files by my ISP to validate my correspondence to a multiple account issue. I understand and herby agree that if I am found by FR&T in coordination with my ISP to have more than ONE account with FR&T in the control panel I will be fined $1,000 (UDS) for each individual account over 1 account."

$1000 if I am "found or SUSPECTED of having two accounts"???? A bit expensive for free hosting!

I believe such conditions are abusive and illegal and will never sign up under such conditions.

When I first signed up the servers were very slow, but acctually worked. My site has more downtime on FRandT than it did on Breezeland. Their mainsite will work most of the time but your own site won't. Getting to your DB is an obstacle to put it very lightly (you have to download and install an external program to connect to the datahouse which stores your DB). The admins are pretty nice though. I don't know why they can't keep the servers going, but I would not recommend this free host.

Fast sign up. Good customer service but only 300mb bandwidth and the servers are constantly down. I have been with them only 2 days and I think they were up about 1 hour the first day and about 15 mins today. When the other rater wrote 80% downtime, this is probably a fair estimate.

I had been searching for a host for a few months until I came to this one! BRILLIANT!!!
The thing is, they don't look too good because they only give 40mb space and 300mb monthy bandwidth but they give you so much extra stuff like cgi, php, perl, ftp, frontpage ext., statistics, pop3 etc. that it is well worth it.
Besides, if features are at all limiting they give you the option to upgrade say to 1000mb bandwidth for a lower charge that a full hosting service.
I have been with them for about 3 weeks and have only found my site down once (earlier today) but it's back up now
Judging by my page load times, it's DEFINITELY faster than tripod!

Features and support: Support is bad, features are good. Amazing control panel. SSL as well but that's really slow (Takes 2 mins to load)! Frontpage extensions 2002 doesn't work and there's an error with PHP. Apart from that, it's a good host.

This has the fastest signup of any free host with domain hosting without ads I have seen. I decided to sign up for all the free domain hosts with no ads and see who was first. Other hosts I signed up for days/week before this and yet this was almost instant. The have most the functionality you would ever need in small quantities.
Like 1 subdomain, 1 email pop account, 1 OBDC database, etc etc.

Every thing works as they say it will. I have over 196 files on this site and I just put it up and have acsessed it all over the world through third party linking to it for me and reporting no problems. They are everything they say they are. I would stand up for them to the world.

A EXCELENT WEB HOST, 40 mb space is enough for me and my clan, and its free it also includes asp, php, cgi-bin and more, u can even have 2 domains. it's great.

-Hard to use in the begining

I would NOT recommend this free host who is serious about putting their site online and wants it to be up 95% of the time. However, If you are new to this or do not need your site up all the time this is a decent place, but for the trouble just go to geocities.com

When it is online it usually starts out slow and begins to pick up speed, all depends on how many users are connecting.

The support features are EXCELLENT! but since the server is hardly online this really does not matter.

Because of all the comments above I sadly give this host a rating of 1. It starts out well but in the long run it is a waste of time.

They say you get what you pay for, well I say not always. Frandt is the living proof, and their free web hosting backs up my statment 100%.
I have just set up a free web hosting account with frandt and to say I am delighted is an understatement.
Not only is their service free, but also not a popup in sight, add to this options not usually associated with free web hosting and it looks like a winning package to me.
Of course web space and bandwidth are limited but hey it's a free service not a charity.
Thoroughly recomended, well done Frandt.

FR&T is good...the problem is the bandwidth limit is 300mb/month. If your site needs heaps of bandwidth, then you have a problem.
Apart from that, good features and not a lot of downtime.

The site took me a while to figure out. Once I got the idea of where to upload my files to, it was ok... but days later I find that it's almost always down. It's been 20 hours and counting! Nobody can access my site. Bummer!

At first it was a little slow going with this host, but I found out it was because they were having some technical issues which they have apparently taken care of now. The folks are friendly, the support is pretty decent, and they are offering a great service to those of us who can't afford to pay for hosting right now. Can't beat that. Overall, I'm very happy with them and look forward to having them as a host for as long as possible.

Well it's like this: i had 2 sites running here, but they were in dutch so they have deleted them... they have an terrible ftp server because it is offline very often... For the rest it's a good free host with all the features you need... but it's just annoing when you're working on your site and then suddenly it says: cannot connect to server ;(

Well, considering that they didn't send me my registration e-mail, and I'm afraid to sign up again, considering I may be fined $1000 US when they suddenly remember to send me the original e-mail, I'm going to rate this as the worst host that I've ever had to deal with.

Not only is their policy of fining people with double accounts moronic, it makes sign-up dangerous in certain ways. Add on the this the fact that they clearly show a lack of organization (inherent in the fact that I recieved no conformation email), and I'm surprised they have a 104 rating....

The control panel gives you a tremendous amount of control therefore it is kinda confusing if you don't know what you are doing. The site has been up since the site has been posted here so that, I give them a 10 for. The main thing I see where a discrepancey is, someone said that they only had one Name Server, lol, they have 20 names servers and 10 Parking servers if you guys click their link on the left of that control panel that says "Name Server". That I have to give them a 10 for. Awesome service, good deals if you are purchasing more packages. Good going on finding these guys!

Control panel is very confusing. There seems to be only one nameserver, although 2 others for parking. Main page says "20 mb of bandwidth", and control panel says 10, although no duration --I assume it is 10 mb/day (300mb/month).
