"Pic Tiger" is a free image hosting website which allows you to upload these file types: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif,.png, .swf (Macromedia Flash files). Maximum file size limit is 1 MB for an unregistered user (can upload up to 5 images at a time), and 5 MB for registered users (can upload up to 100 images at once). The uploaded images stay hosted for life, however if the image is not active (does not have any page views) for 3 months, it will be deleted. When uploading photos and pics, you can enter an optional description which will be displayed on the viewing web page. Linking codes are provided in several different formats. You can hotlink the autocreated thumbnail image and link it to the larger fullsize image. Directlinking of thumbnails can be done on blogs, online auctions, forums, and other websites. Signing up at PicTiger is not necessary, but free registration will help you manage your hosted pictures.

Their service has changed. Now you may only hotlink a thumbnail and not the fullsize image. This is stated in their FAQ: You can not hotlink your large version of the image, but you can hotlink your thumbnail and link it to the larger image.

If you like your pictures to be resized as thumbnails, then this site is OK. If you can deal with the fact that only the thumbnail resized image is able to be hotlinked, then this site is OK. BUT, if you want a full size image (not huge) of 350x228 to be hot linked, then forget it and look elsewhere. Rating of 10? Hard to believe!
