"Pic Tiger" is a free image hosting website which allows you to upload these file types: .jpg, .jpeg, .gif,.png, .swf (Macromedia Flash files). Maximum file size limit is 1 MB for an unregistered user (can upload up to 5 images at a time), and 5 MB for registered users (can upload up to 100 images at once). The uploaded images stay hosted for life, however if the image is not active (does not have any page views) for 3 months, it will be deleted. When uploading photos and pics, you can enter an optional description which will be displayed on the viewing web page. Linking codes are provided in several different formats. You can hotlink the autocreated thumbnail image and link it to the larger fullsize image. Directlinking of thumbnails can be done on blogs, online auctions, forums, and other websites. Signing up at PicTiger is not necessary, but free registration will help you manage your hosted pictures.

PicTiger has super fast servers and provides reliable hosting for images, though it would be nice if you could also hotlink large photos.

Very reliable free hosting for images, with hotlinking allowed. The ads are not bad. They have not deleted my images, and large photos load quickly.

I do not like flashing in-your-face adverts. I am tired of winning all those prizes the flashing banners claim I won. The linking codes are said to be short, but are still fairly long. It gives the thumbnail links only. The only good thing is that it works.
