"The Image Hosting" is a free image hosting solution that can be used to share pictures with friends, post images on message boards and blogs, and direct link images from your personal website or online auction (hot linking allowed free). It generates thumbnails for photos that are larger than 200x200 pixels in resolution. Registration is required to use the service. Limitations: You may upload as many images as you like, as long as each of them is less than 1024 kb (1 MB) in size; File types allowed: .jpg, .jpeg .gif, .png, .swf (Flash files); You are not allowed to hot link fullsize images on any large-scale, non-forum websites; No images will be deleted for inactivity.

I have been using this free hosting site for a couple of years now and am pretty satisfied with the free imagehosting services they provide. The new multiple picture upload feature is a great addition. I wish now that they would add a multiple delete feature as well for those of us storing several images. There have been some webserver down times. I am glad they finally took off the offensive ad links that were polluting each webpage. I like the unlimited bandwidth, photo upload, and album features. I have tried to e-mail customer service several times throughout my time with them and have yet to get any responses. Overall it is a good service especially for those with a lower budget, but for a back-up I use www.photobucket.com for those looking for another option.
