X10hosting is great. I have been wanting to open a site for a while now, but couldn't find any reliable free hosts. I found x10 on google, and I am very pleased with what they have to offer, and the best part is that all this amazing stuff does not cost anything. Thank you, x10!

I have had my ups and downs with this free web space service. Back in 2002 when I started with them, they had only minor and unobtrusive banners at the top of the page, and popups were not terrible. Now ads and popups are rampant (including the linked-ad type, which is really intrusive and often will link to things that have no bearing on my site), and my home page does not work in all browsers, and the servers go down from time to time. It has been okay for a free hosting solution, but it does have its drawbacks.
[BatCave is now a different freehosting service: just a cobranded host of ResellerCluster with the default website template. All the previously hosted websites were deleted and not restored on the new server.]

The best free hosting I have found! The web space and bandwidth limit are excellent for the service they offer, and they do not put banners on the website. Moreover, it is very simple to use, and the help they provide has solved some hosting problems I used to have. I truly recommend this web hosting source.

I have been using this host for 2 months now, and it is absolutely the best free host ever! I currently have the ad-supported hosting, and I think it is worth it to put a little affiliate button on the side, or a small banner on the bottom of web pages. Also if you combine their subdomains with a free sub-domain service like smartdots (.net.tc and other .tc domains) or freedomain.co.nr, you will have a professional-looking domain name for free.

This is one of the worst free host sites ever! The control panel is so confusing, and there is no mysql for free users. All it is good for is html pages (or simple PHP pages), and you can get ad-free hosts for that. Do not use this host -- it is a waste of time.

I think byet host is what I need, and what I need is honesty with good quality service. I have been with byethost for almost a year now, and I am really satisfied, and think it should go on top of the best freehosts list here. Another great thing with byethost team is the experience they have. They could handle ddos attacks, servers overload, and webhosting server abusers, and they kept their web servers up all the time. Just one thing: thank you, byethost team, and bless you. Keep up the good work.

50Webs is one of the best, if not the best, web hosts. I have been using the free account and subdomains to host my site. I have had it for the past 2 years. There is no forced ad on the free hosting account. Free accounts may not have high level programing language support, but if you are looking to have a static web presence, then 50webs is a godsend. I also had an account with Atspace at the same time I started with 50webs. However that account stopped functioning (giving 500 error) within a few months. But 50webs is still going strong. I hope they will continue their service for a long time to come.

Sorry, but I logged on to their control panel and it does not make any sense to me at all. After putting my login details to view different options (and it asks you to login again every for every feature/page), you can not even upload html pages. I am sure you will appreciate that the majority of the people still use basic HTML. I will be happy if you could please delete my account after reading this, as I will not be using your free web hosting service again. This is just way too limited for hosting any decent web site.
