It can also be used to direct link images from your personal website or eBay auction. No signup required. Powered by highly reliable Linux dedicated server network. Limitations: File size limit 1.5 MB; File types allowed: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, bmp, tif, tiff, swf (Flash). Their FAQ states that the freely hosted images will not be deleted from their hosting servers unless the image files violate their Terms of Service (TOS).

I really love this website--Would reccomend it to anyone who needs free image hosting! Was very easy to use, and the uploading of the pictures didn't take too long. Now I can show my pictures on my website! 10 stars!

If you're thinking on using this for lots of images and want to maintain them by registering, you can forget about it. There is NO "log in" option! Yes, you read that right. You must keep their cookie in your browser in order to access your account. If you clear your cookies, switch browsers or computers, you'll need to re-register using the same e-mail address in order to generate a new activation link so that you can log into the system. Of course, if the e-mail address you originally used is no longer valid, there will be no way for them to send you a new activation link. At least if they used a password system, you could write it down (or pick something that's easy to remember), log in and then change your e-mail address if it has changed. Also, inactive images are deleted after a year. TheImageHosting (www.theimagehosting.com) provides the same exact service, but with a log in option and without auto-deletion of images. (ImageShack is probably best used for "anonymous" [no intention of signing up and maintaining] quick uploading of images.)

I had a big image that was able to be uploaded on ImageShack. The only part that I do not like is that you don't make an account, log in, then upload stuff 'cause what will happen if you forget the URL? Beside that, it is a great image hoster!

It was fantastic, free image hosting with no sign up - great. This was until the images started not showing and i would be left with a box with a red cross in it. Now I dont think it is great.
