Their FAQ states that the freely hosted images will not be deleted from their hosting servers unless the image files violate their Terms of Service (TOS).

imageshack is really easy to use. that's one big plus point it has. a downside may be that it is a little slow at times. but it's really user-friendly and simple with no strings attached.

The services provided by imageshack are simply outstanding. Not only do they let you upload huge files (each upload can exceed one megabyte!), but the amount of image file types they support for upload is very impressive! You don't even have to register and yet they still provide you with top-notch service, providing copy-and-paste common image shortcuts... and to top it off, there are no pop-ups!!
If that's STILL not enough to convince you, then you should also know that for all the 8+ months I have use this, I have never once had technical troubles with the site. All image loading is incredibly fast and all images hosted can be directly linked to. 10/10

After upload of a larger image, you are asked to please use a clickable thumbnail code. This is far more than fair, however, since the entire service is free and you may still link the full-size if you must. Thumbnails are not a requirement, but an asked act of courtesy.

I have yet to find any negative.

Yes, and I already have before.

I'd say for about 1 year and 4 months.
Has this host been reliabe (approximate % downtime if known)?
Yes, I have yet to notice any long downtimes. There was once when my images did not show, but I refreshed and they worked again. Short downtimes, I would assume. I am unable to get an accurate % downtime and shall not estimate.
Is the host fast or slow?
I've found that it depends on the image size and Internet connection. Overall, for me, it's fast.
Is the host's support/features good or bad? Why?
Tough one, as I haven't required support as of yet. The features are nice, providing the code for hotlinking. Definitely a great image host, and the best I've seen for free. I'm using this site to host images for my website.

I like how its quick and easy to use. I dont like how small images dont show up in previews. There is an ad about imageshack on my site. I have used this free image host less then one year. I have never seen imageshack down, I think its better then tinypic and imagespot. It depends on what time of the day you visit the site, but I would say its quite fast. I like the support and features, becasue they are quick and easy to use.

this is so far one of the best pic hosting service providers i had ever come across. dont have so much downtime compared to the others, in fact up till now there's isnt any downtime i had come across since the day i choose imageshack. fabulous!! highly recommanded!
