Photo Bucket is a free image hosting company for ebay, online auctions, classifieds, message boards, blogs, live journals, and online photo albums. You can easily upload, categorize, add titles and delete images as needed. Direct linking is allowed, and there are tutorials for directlinking images on eBay auctions, MySpace, and Xanga. You can upload up to 20 pictures at once. Photos larger than 1 MB are automatically scaled down. Their BucketStamp is a dynamic imaging tool for you to share multiple images in a single link combined with some interesting animation, a form of photo gallery for your pictures. Limitations: 1 GB storage space; 25 GB/month bandwidth; 1MB (1024KB) file size limit; Extensions allowed: .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp, .swf (Flash files); Images must not contain any weird characters (numbers and letters only). The uploader converts bmp and tif to jpg. You can view the most recently uploaded pictures. Users in the UK have the ability to take any of their images or photos and publish to their mobile phone. You can optionally upload images via a regular email address. Also now features free video hosting -- users can upload, share, and publish video clips free up to 3 minutes long and 100 MB filesize (5 minutes in length if you are a premium user). Now serves over 500 million images a day. Photobucket has partnered with FilmLoop to make it easy for users to instantly create their own photo "loops" from existing image albums by simply clicking on the "Loop It!" button/icon in their photoalbum. FilmLoop is a free photo broadcasting ("photocasting") network/application that lets you broadcast photo "loops" to all your friends and family, displaying the photos in a "loop" on your computer.

I've been using photo bucket for three years now. it's been a great free photohosting site and the perfect area to store pictures, but all of a sudden it has been preventing me from uploading pictures and even accessing the web site!

I've used PB almost from its beginning, with a premium account most of that time. I think that a statement that a user's computer was infected with ad-ware, spyware, or something similar is an erroneous assumption. That junk could have and no doubt did come from his previously visited website and lurked in the background or had a timer release it a while after leaving the guilty website. I think this because I've never had any such experience and no one else seems to either. And it seems that they do not use pop-up ads for free accounts, just visible ads within the web page. My only or main complaint is the limit of 1 gigabyte maximum storage, although the price is right at only $25.00 per year. The bandwidth max. is 10,000MB per month. What keeps me there is the glorious size of the thumbnails -- I can't stand micro-thumbs. I even added a domain name to my galleries (starlightgalleries.com, which redirects to my photo bucket photogallery) so visitors can visit my public galleries easily.

I have found PhotoBucket to be a godsend for me, as I make my own banners but couldn't host them anywhere until I was lucky enough to find them.

I have been using Photobucket for more than a year and have generally been very pleased with it. I tried other free photo hosting services, but the simplicity of Photobucket won out. BUT I also was unable to access yesterday evening and this morning from London UK even though my friend in the States had no problem!

I use photo bucket for everything and I love it. it is better than having all the pictures on my computer taking up space. thanks to whomever thought of it.

I went to Photobucket and established an account. The picture hosting worked well but they kindly loaded me up with about 5 virus's, mostly Ad-ware and Spy-ware type stuff which embedded itself in my windows/temporyfiles/content/ie5. Really made me mad.

I really love Photobucket, but all of a sudden it's not letting me download my url's. What's up with that? It's saying msn addresses are not allowed or something like that. Is there a problem and will it be fixed? thanks!
