Photo Bucket is a free image hosting company for ebay, online auctions, classifieds, message boards, blogs, live journals, and online photo albums. You can easily upload, categorize, add titles and delete images as needed. Direct linking is allowed, and there are tutorials for directlinking images on eBay auctions, MySpace, and Xanga. You can upload up to 20 pictures at once. Photos larger than 1 MB are automatically scaled down. Their BucketStamp is a dynamic imaging tool for you to share multiple images in a single link combined with some interesting animation, a form of photo gallery for your pictures. Limitations: 1 GB storage space; 25 GB/month bandwidth; 1MB (1024KB) file size limit; Extensions allowed: .jpg, .png, .gif, .bmp, .swf (Flash files); Images must not contain any weird characters (numbers and letters only). The uploader converts bmp and tif to jpg. You can view the most recently uploaded pictures. Users in the UK have the ability to take any of their images or photos and publish to their mobile phone. You can optionally upload images via a regular email address. Also now features free video hosting -- users can upload, share, and publish video clips free up to 3 minutes long and 100 MB filesize (5 minutes in length if you are a premium user). Now serves over 500 million images a day. Photobucket has partnered with FilmLoop to make it easy for users to instantly create their own photo "loops" from existing image albums by simply clicking on the "Loop It!" button/icon in their photoalbum. FilmLoop is a free photo broadcasting ("photocasting") network/application that lets you broadcast photo "loops" to all your friends and family, displaying the photos in a "loop" on your computer.

i think there is no limitation except for 250 kb size limit. i think theres no negative aspects. all are great! I have used 1 year. i havent have any downtme for this site. the host seems kinda fast.

Photobucket has to be the best free image hosting service online! If you sign up for free you get 25 MB of space and 1,500 Mb of bandwidth per month - which is just awesome for the average Net user. They seldom have any downtime at all and have an exceptionally fast server. I've never had any trouble with them at all and I must add that they do not change the urls of images once uploaded unlike other paid sites do from time to time. I intend to stick with them for a long time to come!

This is a fantastic hosting site. My favorite features are the amount of free space, the thumbnail views of all photos, the URL/IMG TAG listed right underneath each thumbnail to make direct linking easy, the easy to use and understand re-size features and the speed at which photos upload. Of course, I wish it offered more free web space. I have used this site for about 2 months, and I have never experienced any downtime/slow server times. I have never had a problem with this site and say it is the best site, especially for people using blogs/xangas/live journals to direct link pics.

i have registered but don't know how to log into the
album i was invited to. i opened the cookie jar, i have the info just nowhere to put it. very frustrated. can't rate because i can't view my pix.

this site is so slow. it takes the pictures so long to actually load. and sometimes it just doesnt work. this would be an amazing website if it worked fast.

I am a user of Photbucket since October 3, 2004 and I sure would recommend Photobucket to people to use it also as it's very handy to use and very easy to use! Creating your own albums make it possible to sort out your images and have a plain & clear overview of all your images stored there.
I haven't experienced any downtime moments and the host is quite fast. I was happy to find a service like this as I do keep a lot of images all over my pc but now I'm using Photobucket, all my on-line in-use images are here in a few albums.
